So I bought AC Evo over the weekend and after an hour of test driving several cars including the MX5 Cup car and GT4 Porsche here are my observations. In context I have raced on Iracing primarily and ACC as well.
Cars feel good to drive. FBB could use more polishing but it's similar to ACC. Graphics beat Iracing hands down. I am looking forward to more online racing. Couldn't get into any LFM races but I have that issue figured out. Once it gets out of Beta and more people join, I think it'll take off. Was very easy to set up with my Moza wheel and I was off. Love the track and car selection and I am hoping once it gets more involved the modding will become better.
Do you think Le Mans will ever be featured in that game or as part of a DLC?
Since my early days in OG assetto, I always felt there was something crucial missing, and that something was the sound.
It doesn't matter to me if the car handles phenomenally, if the engine sounds ass, im just not gonna drive that car, it really really ruins the immersion.
When 0.6 introduced 296 gt3 and mustang gt3, i thought that they were gonna reuse the samples from ACC , so i kept my expectations low. But boy i was wrong, they finally managed to nail the sounds!
And most importantly, they also fixed the m3 and nsx!! m3 had this awful sampling and the nsx was good but anything over 6k felt unfinished, and now they have done it.
I never thought kunos would put actual effort in sounds but im glad I was wrong. i look forward to future updates.
Do we know anything about this? the GT4 not GT3.

I had taken a small break from simracing and just came back. I am now 15-20 sec slower with the new GT3s than before. Is it just that I am rusty or have they gotten slower too?
I’m seriously hyped about Assetto Corsa EVO. It has a ton of potential. But in the meantime I picked up Automobilista 2 because I wanted a complete experience, especially after Project Motor Racing turned out to be a flop.
But honestly, it is easily the best racing sim right now.
Even after trying the 0.6 update for AC Evo I found myself going back after like 10 minutes, even its a good update. And that says a lot coming from someone who has been a loyal Assetto Corsa player for years.
At this point it feels like the new benchmark for sim racing. I have all the DLC and it just keeps delivering.
What I genuinely don’t understand is why the player base is still relatively small 🤔
I bought AC Evo at the beginning of Early Access. As a new born I knew it would have many issues. Until 0.6 it really was unplayable on my 5800x3D, 6900XT & 3200gb DDR4 3200mhz 1440 triples. Controls, camera issues, AA looked terrible. 0.6 is much better in many areas and is finally smoother.
One thing that has persisted from 0.1 all the way to 0.6 is no matter what graphics settings I change there is little or no change in FPS. I only practice. Never race. Just to test each release.
eg I changed shadows from low to ultra. No change in fps at Spa. Literally none. On low it hovered 51 to 56. On ultra it hovered 51 to 56. This is the same across almost all of the other graphics settings.
I spoke to someone in an online chat with a 9800x3D & 7800XTX and he had the same issue. Has anyone experienced this. Is it just an AMD thing.
is it just me or do you guys also think that vintage cars are just too easy to drive? Comparing to OG Assetto Corsa, they aren't difficult to drive but they are challenging. I love the 1960's cars by THC 60's revival cars and a bunch of others that are from other vintage car models and comparing them to AC Evo, I just find them more rewarding because of the challenge. This doesn't mean I like difficult to drive cars but just making a note that vintage cars in AC Evo handle a lot better as if they have slicks or something.
Anyone else feel the same way?
So I have been driving quite a bit of ac evo with the gt3's, and I have noticed that especially with the Ford, but also with the others, that they tend rotate when you brake.
I have not experinced this in any other sim to this extent, and I was wondering if it is realistic.
Anybody else have any thoughts on it?
Basically I'll be driving along and then suddenly I can no longer downshift or up shift or anything. Starts out fine.
It just makes an in game terrible grating noise (hilariously almost like I broke the car). Since the E30 is one of my favorite cars this is very annoying. Both of these older cars with a standard H shifter pattern have the issue.
Let me preface this by stating I am using a controller. When I go into a new race and the race starts my car goes into full throttle mode and my car will not move forward … it just sits there! Has anyone else experienced this issue and if so how did you correct the problem? Thank you in advance!
Hear me out. I have a motion rig, and on automobilista 2, Sebring is really bumpy, like it almost bounces me out of the rig. I'm specifically talking about the corner after the last Long Straight, the final corner. Even iracing feels more bumpy. Also, evo feels more narrow at the same corner. Did they fix that corner, or is automobilista and iracing scans super old or something?
Not much of an online player, but decided to look at some servers. Found some race tracks with a few other cars, pleasantly surprised to see people doing something other than the blasting the absolute fastest race cars in the game around the Nord. Some Caterhams, E30, some Countach and 288GTO around Watkins Glen was nice.
Anyway, the people I was driving with were courteous, allowing safe passes and not blocking faster cars. Changing places for a while and driving together some. It was a nice vibe, like a real trackday.
We obviously can't give point-bys with our arms, but I was using my turn signal to indicate a point-by like I would in a car that I couldn't get my arm out the window of.
Pleasant way to spend a Sunday morning.
I'm having performance issues on my 5070 Ti with Medium settings in games. I'm using the 5070 Ti with triple 27-inch 1440p monitors.
I hope you can help me find a solution to the performance and image quality problems.
Is the Hyundai i30 really better than a Lamborghini countach? 🤔
No matter the settingd and no matter the wheelbase, I've not been able to find a solution to remove the force feedback clipping.
Has anyone got a clue? I should point out that this was an issue since day 1, has nothing to do with tbe 0.6 releass.
