Weekend Class

Hi Seniors!

Incoming 1L, and I only have my weekends to attend classes. Do you think the load is manageable per day for the ff schedules:

Sat: CRIM PFR

Sun: BLJE CONSTI STATCON

or recipe for disaster sya? Thank you in advance po.

Clep2 enrollment queries

Quick advertisement muna from the Senate fiasco today.

Bakit ang labo ng policy sa enrollment ng CLEP2? Sabi saamin ng registrar bago maka enroll sa CLEP2, all third year subjects should be taken AND passed—meaning nakalabas na dapat grades (obviously malabo mailabas last week enrollment ang grades since May 17 padaw deadline ng prof for giving grades). And that they are strict about this requirement since there’s no conditional enrollment pag summer classes. Ok fine.

But—

Why oh why naman may mga nababalitaan kaming pinayagayan na makaenroll CLEP2 while awaiting grades. Meron din yung nakaenroll na may concurrent third yr subj pa at pinayagan paring maenroll ang CLEP2.

Please enlighten me. Maybe I missed out something.

1st Sem Grade SY 2526; Dear Atty, Registrar, Dean

NOTE: 5 months in the making. Grades delayed.

Perhaps it is time for this matter to become a serious topic of discussion within the AUSL community.

Formal channels have already been exhausted: the concern was first raised through the Registrar, who advised that their office could no longer continue following up with the concerned professor-attorney after prior inquiries were allegedly met with displeasure. The matter was then elevated to the Office of the Dean, but despite this, no acknowledgment, action, or definite timeline has been given.

At this point, quiet follow-ups appear to have led nowhere. The continued delay in the release of grades is no longer a private inconvenience affecting only a few students; it is a serious academic concern that directly impacts students’ futures, enrollment tracks, graduation schedules, and overall law school progression.

For students under conditional enrollment, the uncertainty is even more prejudicial. They are forced to proceed without knowing whether their current subjects will ultimately be credited, exposing them to the risk of wasted time, effort, and financial resources.

This issue deserves broader attention because students should not be left in prolonged uncertainty simply because grades remain unreleased without explanation. If institutional mechanisms remain silent, then perhaps responsible discussion within the student body and the Administration is necessary to bring urgency, accountability, and transparency to the matter.

is there still hope after failing in 1L?

hello everyone, i don’t know what should i do with my law school journey. i’m currently a 1L, and last semester i failed consti, crim, and pfr. it really affected me mentally and emotionally. now in my second semester, i honestly don’t know if i’ll pass my subjects either.

i know i need to improve and reevaluate my study habits, and believe me, i’ve really been trying :’) but despite my efforts, i feel exhausted and burned out. my biggest dilemma right now is that there’s a high chance my current law school may no longer accept me for 2L.

i’m also thinking about the possibility of transferring if ever. would any law school still accept me despite my failed subjects? i’m particularly eyeing arellano, but i honestly don’t know if i still have a chance.

honestly, this whole experience has been taking a toll on me mentally and emotionally. i’ve been crying almost every night and feeling extremely anxious about my future. i feel lost and discouraged right now, and i don’t know what step to take next.

for those who have gone through something similar, how did you handle it? should i continue, take a break/LOA, transfer, or reconsider this path altogether? :’)

What if I dont want to attend the Graduation?

After seeing all the fees, my parents and I decided not to attend the graduation. We’d rather have a vacation somewhere. So the plan is to only pay for the photoshoot, toga and yearbook. Pwede ba yon? Ibabalik ko lang agad yung toga after the photoshoot for the year book and not attend the grad? Pano ko po makukuha yung diploma? TIA.

Wag kayo nagagalit kung marami nag-abstain. Right nila yan. Well, may effect din naman dyan yung sobrang pagiging active ng current alsg. Kita nyo, marami nawalan ng gana.

Advice

Hi,
I would like to ask for advice regarding the subjects I should take next semester.

During my 1L year, I was not able to take:
Statutory Construction
Legal Research
Gender
Criminal Law 1 and 2

As a working student, I prefer Saturday and Sunday classes only 😅
May I ask which subjects would be best to take together next semester?

Dorm near AUSL

Hi chief. May mai recommend ba kayong dorms near the campus? Planning to enroll weekday classes and looking for a place where I can stay near AUSL.

Planning to stay for the duration of the sem, or until I graduate.

Civpro and Crimpro

Hi Seniors, is it okay to take both subject at the same time? Some said wag pagsabayin.

Any book recommendation for easier understanding? Or should focus more on Rules of Court?

Appreciate the input.
