I’ve been following the recent data coming out of the R5Reloaded Season 5 Analysis, and the numbers are honestly shocking for the health of the PC ecosystem.

According to the study (N=3,229), the mechanical disparity is no longer just a "feeling":

  • The Disparity: The average controller player (36.54% accuracy) out-performs 99.4% of the MnK population.
  • The Ceiling: Even the literal top 1% of MnK aimers (35.78%) cannot match the consistency of a mid-tier controller user.
  • The Reaction: Human reaction time physically cannot compete with the 0ms delay of Rotational Aim Assist.

I’ve created a petition to show Respawn that the MnK community wants competitive integrity back in our lobbies. Whether it’s Input-Based Matchmaking or a change to how Rotational AA works, something has to change before the input is gone entirely.

Sign the petition here: change.org/SaveApexMnK

What Is Your Warmup Routine?

Just wondering if anyone else has a warmup routine. Developed one that gets me pretty hot and ready, about 10 mins in the range getting some recoil management done as you can see here, then I will do some back and forth target switching with the wingman to get my “flicks” down (as much as I can flick on controller lol). I like doing this with the two targets ground level right in the front of the range as well as the far target in the middle of the jump tower. Anyone have some good warmups to add?

Weak aim assist on PC?

Hello,

i was always a MnK player, but recently I wanted to try out a controller for FPS games like Apex. My problem is it feels like I have close to zero aim assist. But when I see how enemies kill me in the death cam it always looks like they have the most op aim assist. I've created a short youtube video for demonstration. Can you tell me if aim assist is working or not? For context: I was using a G7 Pro, but I tried it with other controllers (Dualsense, Xbox elite series 2) too.

Here me out tho...

Am i wrong for when randoms drop hot and get knocked because of multiple times on ranked, that i just jump off the map.

The reason i do is because of you a person character basically, if youll willing to drop like that in ranked regardless of your ranked. Then you probaly shouldnt be playing in my opinion.

Hot take: Pathfinder players are often objectively more skilled than average players?

I don’t know if I’m the only one who feels this way, but I’ve noticed that Pathfinder players often seem way more “skilled” than the average player.

Whether it’s system knowledge, tactical thinking, character building without breaking the game, roleplay, or just overall investment, it feels like the average level in the Pathfinder community is pretty high.

Obviously there are exceptions everywhere, but it’s something I keep noticing whenever I play with people who come from Pathfinder or are really into it.

Does anyone else feel the same way, or am I imagining it?
And if you agree, what do you think causes it?
The crunchier system? The tactical focus? The kind of players Pathfinder naturally attracts?

And just to clarify, I’m not even a Pathfinder main or hardcore fanboy — I’ve been playing Apex since long time and this is just an observation I keep coming back to

700 hours and I suck ass, tips?

Title says it all really, I have 700hrs in apex, around 400 more in titanfall, god knows how many thousands in other shooters, and for whatever reason, whenever I load into a game of apex, its like its my first game of anything ever.

90% of games, I’ll lose my first engagement within 10 seconds and that’ll be that.

my movement is decent, I use cover and get behind it as soon as I see another player, I have 60% accuracy in most other shooters with rifle-type guns, like, I can hit my shots, I know my abilities, I know these maps like the back of my hand and I know how to take cover, but my K/D is 0.7 and no matter what guides/VODs/aim trainers I use, I just can’t seem to do as well in this game as I do in most other game I dump half the time into, any ideas on what I could work on?

Why am I not getting 240fps with a 5080 and Intel 9 285 on 1440p and all low graphics settings?

Im getting a stable 240 fps in the firing range. The second I play a game of ranked or wild card I'll be anywhere from 120-180. Can anyone help out or have had this experience?

Listed specs and utilization.

MNK no confidence in CQC

Does anyone else have this problem? When the fight suddenly becomes CQC, some octane runs up right on me and my brain just panics and I think I'm about to get AA one clipped.

It's like I know I can't win in that situation so there's no point in fighting, but then there's no where to run. It's really frustrating.

Any suggestions from a MNK player on what to do other than run Bangalore?

Is it just me or this season just straight up harder in soloq ranked?

Is every new season this bad for rank reset?

Im struggling and grinded to p4/p3 but the teamates I've gotten are hilariously bad or the people im facing are cracked out of their mind.

I've gotten way too many people who have done less then 100 damage in a fight or landed with 5 squads in estates.

I've never felt this helpless after 3k hours in the game.

It just feels demoralizing when I felt like I was improving the past couple of seasons after a year break.

Want to give friend advice for roller, brand new player

A friend started apex recently and has little experience with fps games. Most of us who play apex are on mnk so we don't know what kind of help he needs. He plays on xbox and we wanted him to play alone because of sbmm and was difficult for him to keep up so he should take it at his own pace.

Any tips would be nice, as I have no idea what setting or playstyles work on xbox.

How do I get better at stuff like rotations and not getting third partied?

I have 200 hours on apex, on mnk pc. Last season was my first season playing comp and i got to diamond 4, basically just relying on out aiming and moving people, but once i got to diamond i felt like i was getting stuck in awful late game spots and perma having multiple teams fighting me. do i just need to play more?

also sorry if this breaks the rules, not sure if it counts as a low effort question
