Thanks for checking out my first shot at lunar astrophotography! Only had about an hour of clear skies tonight before clouds rolled in so I decided to take a close up of the moon at f/10 2032mm, technically the native focal length for my C8.
This image represents about 4.5 minutes of 0.7ms frames in sharpcap, gain 140, moon at 29% tonight, captured with my nexstar 8SE at f/10 and my ASI533MC pro / skywatcher EQ6-R pro rig. Stacked in autostakkert 4, best 10% fine tuned with wavelet / sharpening in registax 6, then final processing in pixinsight. What really made this pop during processing was LocalHistogramEqualization (LHE) - really brought out the details in the craters compared to the original stacked image.
I'm sure I have a lot to learn with this being my first lunar photo but I enjoyed it! Galaxy season is rough from the suburbs - I have taken photos of jupiter, the moon, and even a globular cluster in the last couple of weeks I think out of desperation because galaxies are super tough targets overall from bortle 8/9.

Got my S30 Pro a few weeks ago. Here is a collection of the best shots I've gotten so far.
Taken on clear nights in Bortle 6 skys.
That was awesome. I saw like 4 tonight, looking northeast.
Timestamp: 39 seconds-roughly 42 seconds
Recorded on a GoPro Hero 10 Black, hyper lapse mode.
The small green dot/streak right above the tree bottom left. It moves to the right.
Single exposure images only cropping. Captured last night with my Canon eos m6 mark ii and 55-250mm stm.
No editing other than cropping.
Hi residents of Southeast Vic, we're planning to watch the Lyrids around 3–5am Thursday morning and are deciding between Sunnyside North Beach or Cape Schanck.
We'd need a clear north-facing view.
Is Sunnyside too affected by Melbourne light glow?
Is Cape Schanck much better / worth the full drive?
Here it is, boxed and regular.
Down East Microwave custom tuned this at my request, installed front filters and sold me a wide band gain block.
(IMAGE IS FROM GOOGLE!)i am initiating on astronomy, so i wanna a not bad but not hubble telescope ahh freaking power, so i found a f36060 for 128 BRL
I decided to add more time to this wonderful object in our night sky. This has been a passion project for me now and now at 50 hours of NB data. Imaged mostly last year and a few sessions this year.
I imaged it using my skywatcher 200P with an attached Starizona .75 reducer and 533MMPro with Altair 3nm SHO filters. All this resting on my AM5 mount.

I processed it in Pixinsight and used some of Russ Cromin’s tools and finished it off a little in Photoshop.
I’ve attached a screen grab showing subs etc from my logbook entry.
Hope you enjoy this one.
Hi everyone! I am a newbie when it comes to astrophotography, but I want to share with people what I see out of my telescope.
I have a Skywatcher Heritage p150, which I know is not ideal for astrophotography, but I thought of looking into a usb camera (ZWO) and was looking for some tips or suggestions for the type of camera. The other issue is that my Skywatcher is a tabletop dobsonian so I will have to use the drift method to get some clear planetary shots. I also know it's not ideal for the deep sky, but I was wondering if anyone has a similar set up and gets some nice images!
Thanks for your time.
