It’s going to pain me to ask for a Republican ballot tomorrow, but I will do everything I can to vote against Vivek Ramaswamy and you should too.

THE WORM IS STILL ALIVE - RFK, Jr. at the City Club last night

He fired all the CDC ship inspectors, the ones that were paid by the cruise companies, and now we don't have anyone to check our ships for health hazards with the threat of Hantavirus and other diseases.

This is the former heroin addict. The guy who admitted to having had a worm in his brain. The guy who admitted to snorting coke off of a toilet seat. The guy that brought home a whale head mounted on his car. And now something about cutting off the penis from raccoon roadkill on the side of the road?

Yeah, that's the guy that heads our health system now. Are we winning yet?

Moving to Akron

Moving to Akron this month for work.

Is it really bad out there in terms of crime and where should I stay if I’m a young professional looking to be in proximity to everything?

What should I watch out for as a non Ohio resident?

New to the area for the summer

I am a 22M and I just moved to Akron for the summer and want to meet people and try new foods and drinks. I’ve been lost in the Google Maps pit of places to try, and socials have helped to suggest places to go. But I’m lost on where to actually meet people and where to go after work. Any good suggestions would be amazing!

Reptile tanks/enclosures?

Not really wanting to travel 45+ minutes just to get some things for my snakes so I was wondering if anyone know where to go for used tanks/enclosures that aren’t priced too high or for free. I looked on the marketplace but they are either too far or they want too much.

I’m lookin for at least 3 30gallon tanks, might do 2 30s and 1 40s in the Akron/Summit county area and some feeders.

New to the area as well so any helpful tips will be appreciated

Active situation at Summit Mall

Just saw on 330togo that there is potentially an active shooter situation at Summit Mall. Anyone have any info? Just reading that cops are flying in there left and right and one comment mentioned multiple shots fired. No idea how valid any of that info is…

Model rockets!

Hi I'm looking for locations around summit county that are large enough and model rocket friendly so set off with my step son. We went to goodyear park, and set them off one day with no issue, then weeks later took a drone and found out the parks in the whole county forbid these hobbies. Any suggestions?

Summa less than responsive

Since being bought out by the hedge fund this place has gone downhill quickly. Patient wait times are long and just getting a response for help is frustrating. 2 voicemails and 3 my chart messages and I am still waiting for someone to address my concern. Totally different world from when I moved here 8 years ago.

As some of you may know, the Ohio Canal goes underground in downtown Akron, between old Locks 4 and 10, before re-emerging in the Cascade Locks Park area. The tunnel entrance is at old Lock 10 off the Towpath, and the elevation increase and waterfall here are old Lock 9.

I think that one of the biggest mistakes Akron made from a downtown planning perspective was to cover much of the Canal in the 1960s. Waterfronts are one of the most important functional and aesthetic features of a city center, and the mistakes of yesteryear have deprived us of an opportunity in the present. Regardless, the old Canal flows on, even through the dark and damp.

The longtime location of Acme in Stow closed recently. Has it really fallen off a cliff since Meijer came to the area? That store has been there forever, going back to when it was one of the first Click stores in the area to open in the 1960s...

Black thing in the sky??

I was visiting the city for the first time and took my kid to the children’s museum. When driving back to Cleveland I notice a large black jellyfish looking thing in the sky near downtown?? It was near the skyscrapers. Was wondering if anyone else saw it or knows wtf that was. My husband also saw it too before you guys think I’m crazy lol

Edit to add more info. This was yesterday so 5/10 and around 3-4pm!
