r/Zentangle

This is the best way I found to stop overthinking.
Scrollwork
Worked on this slowly and deliberately over the course of a few days. The drawing behind/layering was tricky but satisfying.
Friday’s Doodle! I am not sure if I am done with this one yet, but I am done with it for today. TGIF Tanglers! 🥰
How to start
How did you learn to Zentangle? Are there any books, YouTube channels, etc that you’d recommend? Also, what are your go to supplies?

First attempt. I was inspired by the posts in this sub - thank you all! Your art is all fantastic!
I am loving all of the new posts the last few days! You all do some amazing work! Here is something I did last night. As usual, no pre plan, ideas or pics. Just “doodling”. Have a blessed day everyone!
I’ve been drawing these swirl things for most of my life
Like they cover most margins of my notebooks and planners, post-its, and even random scraps of paper. When I was in school for photography I transferred them to large pieces of parchment paper to satisfy my drawing requirement because I couldn’t think of anything else lol. Would they be considered Zentangles? These pics are very old because I mostly just doodle now and haven’t really kept anything, but discovering this subreddit is inspiring me to make something more purposeful soon!
I’m also including a picture of my (very) old high school planner I came across when I moved, just for fun! I think I would like to try something like that now.
Also, in ceramics I attempted to create them in a way like three dimensionally. Would that be okay to share or is this art always 2D?
Thanks for looking if you did!
I really love leaving no white space behind :)
A couple of my inspired yet turned original designs :)
I do like the first one better than the second one - especially the contrast, the colors, the brightness... what do you think?
The second one was great until I added green which made it lose its charm :( Still quite happy about it though, I think!
