MIDI Clock issues with ZOIA

I just ran into an interesting problem with the ZOIA, trying to sync a drum machine and loopers to MIDI clock coming from a tap tempo on the ZOIA.

As the tap tempo often lands between a single BPM the clock it was sending was causing one of the loopers (a BASTL Midilooper) to constistently go out of sync with the drum machine. I'm guessing this is due to the looper rounding up/down to the nearest BPM and the drum machine using the "true" BPM sent.

Whatever the reason, I am eternally grateful to the creator of this patch - https://patchstorage.com/precise-tap-clock-for-midi-sync/ - which completley solved the problem (and looks like a wildly complicated patch to program). I don't know if empress do feature requests but I'd love to see the MIDI clock out module have the option to round to the nearest BPM as I'd imagine this causes sync issues with a lot of gear.

Howdy folks,

I’m curious if anyone else has run into this issue. I’m still a somewhat new ZOIA user, but I’ve recorded with it and used it live quite a bit. There’s one patch I use all the time, Frosti, mostly between songs and during very short ambient sections.

Yesterday, I finally got around to updating the firmware, and it seems to have completely broken that patch. Now, when I hold the select button, instead of freezing the note or chord, it creates this sine wave delay-feedback swell. I’ve tried tweaking a bunch of parameters, but I haven’t been able to get it working again.

I have quite a bit of experience with these sustain pedals having owned a EHX Freeze and a Gamechanger Plus: this isn't the glitchy sound when you play a staccato note and latch too soon, It's a "whooshing" sound. Anyone know what may have changed after the update?
