So I am a returning player from 2009, just watching duels for now to learn the game but this weird interaction has gotten me tripped up (linked in the comments)

Sky Striker player activates engage to which Dracotail player chains Flame then Sky striker player chains Fallen & the virtuous to that and that somehow leads to engage resolving? because the Sky striker player still searched his deck for a Sky striker card and drew one card but I thought it was flamed?

Also Bonus question: If you watch the duel I linked just a few turns before this interaction, I think this Sky striker player misplayed by summoning Azalea and popping sting instead of Flame as that led to the trigger of sting so he didn't really negate anything and he also lost a spell in his GY causing him to have 3 or less spells in the GY leading to Azalea being sent to the GY.

Then the casters talked about having linkage would be a huge play to that engage play but I am assuming that's because if engage is negated by flame you can chain linkage to it and use that negated engage as a discard material for the linkage? is that right? if that's the case would engage effecet be triggered there despite it being flamed?

Basically I am building a Mayakashi Skull Servant Deck, the deck works pretty well but there is an issue with the gameplan

Basically the goal of the deck is either:

1. Going first, do the Marakashi combo to synchro and link climb then set the Mayakshi floodgate so my opp skips their second turn then OTK with King next turn

2)Going second, just OTK with king and other board breakers

Issue is that while I can consistently do the link and Synchro climbing Mayakashi's have no monster to search their floodate trap so my only options are:

1. Mayakashi return to search for the trap

2. Triple Tactics Thrust to set it

But in a deck that runs 59 cards it's very hard to get the cards I need

I do run Left Arm Opening but it's to search for That Grass Looks Greener and it stops me from setting the floodgate.

So I was wondering.

I noticed that I often ended up miling one my floodgate traps when using Grass or Witelord. So is there a card (Monster or Spell) that can set a trap from my graveyard to my field, that way if I end up milling the floodgate I can set it?

I’m going to be completely candid here. I have no idea wtf I’m doing.

My 11 year old has opted to spend his allowance savings on Yu-Gi-Oh cards.

He’s really pulled through and helped me out with his little brothers this past week as I recovered from a life-threatening dental emergency and I want to add an extra surprise deck for a lil razzle dazzle ✨

Can someone please explain (in layman’s terms) what the difference is between these two decks and which one is “better”?

I’m new to the Yugioh TCG and instead of my usual Pokemon booster packs I’ve been buying into the hype surrounding Rarity Collection 5 recently. I wanted to know what are some reasons why this set is so hype currently? Will these cards keep value or will they plummet? Is this game similar to Pokemon TCG and if so or if not how? What should I know about this?

So, I'm tryna get back into the game, I haven't played in like a year and I only played decks like Celtic guardian, Normal monsters, and krawler mekk knight, So I'd love some recommendations for decks for me based off those., I'm currently using a water based deck (Basically only water monsters and water monster based spells

So I want a good online game I can play with my friends. Nothing like Dueling Nexus or Master Duel, Duel Links and all that. One we can hop on and create our own decks, Have good looking cards and etc. Is there any game like that or one we could download that won't have us spending hours on hand to make our decks (Master duel being the case of that here)

If there is not anything like that. Its fine I just want to know if there is besides the websites/games I provided.

I used to play a browser based online yu gi oh game quite a few years back where you had to beat different characters and you could get their decks.

From what I remember, aside from the main play area showing the cards placed, there also used to be like a small screen on the right hand side where you could actually see the battle happen.

You also had to login to actually play the game.

I know now those mfers need at least 3 monsters on the field go fusion summon into Lunalight-fuckyou-wall-of-fuck you.

I lost last Tuesday to Lunalight. So Now I made it a thing to never let it happen again 😆

But damn do they have gas! ⛽️-_-

What I learned.

They have some starters to kick, and banish or stop then in the GY too. Make sure there is always less than two on the field. You will be golden. Try to stop the first fusion-Lunalight if you can do that the big fuckyou tower can’t come out.

Hey, so today in the live stream they revealed a new monster called VIP whale, whose effect text I’ll put below? My question would be, since the quick effect has an effect to half its attack depending on the coin flip, is this something that could be activated in the damage step?

I've been looking to play branded again. I was wondering if the ceiling is just so much lower it's not really worth playing if I don't get the white albaz?

It essentially completely shuts down the graveyard, and it even has another way to be searched, via the Grave Keeper's Commandment. I'm probably just mad cause I just got screwed by this card, but 6 outs to make the graveyard useless does seem like a reasonable side deck inclusion.

I dont know if im doing anything wrong but aany time i try to look up officially released starter/strategy decks im only met with custom ones, is there a reason for that? Im faaar from a competetive player so I dont really know sorry

also if you know of any decks that are dmg centric or heavily features dmg then pls tell <3

Hey guys! I just bought some cards to finish up a deck I'm building, and after comparing them to copies of the same cards that I pulled from a sealed box, I noticed some of the texts look a bit bolder or misaligned. All the other information on the cards is correct and the holos look good to me too. I'm having a tough time telling if these are fakes, or just slight misprints.

I'm happy to share pictures in the comments if the mods are okay with that.

Hello everyone I have a question regarding a duel between Radiant Typhoon Kashtira and Sky Striker.

Player 1 special summons Krosea and uses its effect to add 2 cards, player 2 uses effect of Raye to bring out combined maneuvers and uses the effect to negate Krosea's effects.

Will Krosea still be unable to be destroyed by battle or card effects if it is negated?

I'm looking for personal opinions or a general consensus about future set releases with support for new tier 1 or tier 2 decks. I know BLZD is going to make Kewl-tunes pretty crazy but I'm looking into building a new competitive deck for a regionals in October.
