I think it is not hyperbole to say that the US is becoming a fascist state (if it is not already one)
If you study Nazi Germany and Fascist Italy, especially its early days. Their was some semblance of democracy. And their was a parliament. And they employ tactics like scapegoating immigrants, and slowly sidelining democracy. When Hitler first entered politics, he looked a lot like Trump right now. History repeats itself, if you ignore history (and actively ban it in schools, Trump likes doing that). Hitler crushed Antifaschistische Aktion and called them terrorists, Trump calls antifa terrorists. Fascists love to criminalize antifascism.
