Are people really buying these homes here!? There are no jobs and the economy is absolutely awful here.

Moving to Yakima. In Search of Housing

Moving to Yakima for school. I will be eventually looking for part time work.

Currently looking for housing. I have a highly trained dog and a snake. I also have a slide in camper so storage of that is important to me. A garage is necessary due to motorcycle and outdoor hobbies. If anyone has a rental or can direct me toward someone who is renting out their house that would be appreciated. I would rather work with a private party than some rental management company.

I will eventually take part time work while in school, but have amassed a savings for the past 15 years that I will live on primarily. I could pay 6 months in advance or even the year if necessary.

I am also open to filling a room in a house so long as they are okay with a dog and use of the garage.

Thanks in advance!

Tried this a few weeks ago

Any other small business want to do a networking thing once a month or every other week on Friday or the weekends?

Pharmacy recommendations

Can anyone recommend a good pharmacy with a drive-thru here in town with friendly knowledgeable pharmacist's and pharmacy techs. I'm done with CVS, the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing and they're not exactly professional.

If you can’t do a simple Google search, then perhaps you’re not qualified for Congress

Apparently, he has enough information to claim that they act fraudulently, but doesn’t actually know that they access federal databases?

Quick Quack Car Wash

Washed my car today at the quick quack across from Costcos. I like the wash but the layout of the car wash has you driving through a dirty muddy puddle at the end of it and you spray up dirt on the sides of your vehicle. I asked to go again and they let me, but again, the puddle dirtied my vehicle before I even left the lot. Even when driving extra slow the second time to avoid splashing up dirty mud water. I had to just clean it at home. Wasted 30 dollars on the ceramic duck cleaning. They should put a drain or something at the end of the wash so water doesn’t build up down there. Sort of defeats the purpose of washing your car there. Won’t go back until this is addressed. Again, great car wash, very bad water draining and layout.

Free/Cheap Places to Camp in Yakima?

I am looking for some options on where to camp this summer in Yakima. It doesn’t have to be an established campsite, any site or trail that you know is legal to on appreciated! Basically, looking for a safe, legal place to pitch a tent.

Please let me know of any that are no farther than 20 to 30 minutes from Yakima/Union Gap.

Any info appreciated! Thank you!

Transmission shop

Anyone know any good mechanics? I know they’re hard to come by but I need some work done on my daily driver. Specifically transmission maintenance. What are some really good transmission shops in town or in the valley?
