It seems like YRT finally woke up and realized people take the bus on weekends. If even half of these proposals get approved by regional council, it would seriously be some good changes. Interesting to see that they are finally leveraging TTC contracts, giving ideas to push the 130 to Aaniin, finally all day Birchmount service (albeit 60 minute frequencies💀), and having the TTC run viva frequencies up McCowan. Other proposals include extending hours close to midnight on a few routes, giving midday and weekend service, increasing frequencies by 15+ minutes on routes, and overall these are some very solid proposals. What do you guys think?

this shit fucking sucks ass

its every time that i miss my conmectimg bus at bathurst and hwy 7 BECAUSE THERES NO BUS LANE TO CUT ALL OF THE TRAFFIC. ITS BEEN SO FUCKING LONG SINCE I ACTUALLY MADE MY CONNECTING BUS AFTER GETTING OFF VIVA ORANGE EASTBOUND NECAUSE OF THIS.

if only the government would actually extend this bus lane then all of my problems would be fixed and that i wouldnt have to wait 20 mins for the next bus. (even another viva orange comes in before the next bus)

please someone send this to the government cuz im genuinely so pissed. please extend the bus lane.

I have an ABZ license, got the truck license and couldn't find a good job and then shifted my approach to transit agencies. I have applied to all the big ones like TTC, GoBus etc. However the gap here is that i don't have any experience driving commercial vehicle.

Just recently applied to TOK transit, they don't advertise like Miller transit that they require 6 months of experience.

Can someone here working as a driver with TOK transit help me understand if indeed experience is a prerequisite or they will just train you from scratch like TTC and GoBus ?

Greatly appreciate your help in advance.
