Hi,

So i can almost chose a new leasecar. I have the choice to either chose the Xpeng G6 or the Tesla Model Y standard (Netherlands).

What is the better choice? Do some of you have any suggestions? I heard that tesla also doesnt have autopilot anymore... hear alot of noise about the european models of Xpeng malfunctioning etc.

(For the xpeng i need to pay 60 euros more monthly than the Model Y standard).

Not a like-for-like comparison, but more of a German premium 7-seat EV vs Chinese 7-seat EV reality check. Five years ago this would’ve sounded completely absurd.

Hi, I’m thinking about switching from my Tesla Model Y to an Xpeng G6 — or maybe even another brand, just for a change.

Has anyone here compared Xpeng to Tesla? I’m seriously considering the G6. For the price, it seems to offer a lot more features, and Tesla Superchargers aren’t really necessary for me anymore.

If anyone has feedback or real‑world experience, I’d really appreciate it.

With Tesla, I’d lose the Enhanced Autopilot, while Xpeng still offers an advanced driver‑assistance system — and honestly, I think that’s a real advantage.

As for range: the difference between the Standard and Long Range versions of the G6 doesn’t seem that big. Do you see it the same way, especially compared to Tesla?

So I only recently stumbled accross this car while looking for the seemingly impossible: A comfortable BEV for driving 700km several times a month to finally end the ICE era for me.

Especially when it comes to efficiency Im quite picky, and the P7+ seems to do extremly well. I hate SUVs for that reason and I really do not want to burn through 30 kwh extra on the highway just cause humanity decided pushing a wall of metal against the wind is a great idea.

After watching the recent reviews that are available, I almost think this car looks to good to be true.

I hope to test drive it within the next weeks and order it if no deal breakers come up.

Any P7+ owners around already? What do you like and dislike?

I would like to know how much reduction your garage gave on a new xpeng G9?

Mine gives 8% but it's out of budget for the leasing. So I asking myself how much the owners had on their G9

Since a few days ago it's been possible to order the X9 in Germany. Belgian dealers told us the X9 won't come to Belgium in 2026, and likely not in 2027 either, so we decided to go ahead and order in Germany. Delivery time quoted is 6-7 months.
Yet I read that expected delivery dates in June (Norway first probably).

Does anyone know which cargo ships XPENG uses to transport vehicles to Europe? I know MarineTraffic is the tool for this, but wondering if anyone has already identified the specific vessels or routes to watch. Would love to track progress of XPENG deliveries.

Very excited about the X9, been on the lookout the past 1.5 years.

Since we got the P7+ in the EU and it features amenities like a rear screen and rear seat ventilation, doesn’t it seem plausible that at least the G9 (G6 maybe also) will receive a rear screen and a HeadUp display too? As the flagship SUV in the EU, and with rear amenities that would ideally be controlled through a rear screen like in the P7+, it only seems logical (imo) that a light refresh could bring a HeadUp display and a rear screen to control rear seat heating, ventilation, and massage functions in the near future.

Also, the Premium Package being a free option right now (at least in Germany, where it is normally paid) also seems like a possible indicator that a light refresh could be arriving soon (?)

Curious to hear your opinions.

Edit: The P7+ also gets the HeadUp display, so its only a question of time when the G6 and G9 will get this too.

Good evening everyone, by August I will be the owner of a G9 Performance Black Edition. The decision was quite a tough one because I was looking for the right balance between comfort, technology, perceived quality, and infotainment user experience. In Italy, the options have only recently become truly interesting, setting aside the usual European brands which, in my opinion, no longer meet my specific criteria (I am, however, coming from a German internal combustion sports car).

​The Reddit community has been incredibly helpful; reading through the posts here really helped me make my final decision. I can’t wait to dive in properly as an owner.

​The Italian community seems almost non-existent, unfortunately. I’ve listed a few things below that I’m most curious about, and I want to thank anyone in advance who is willing to share their experience or knowledge:

​Updates: How are they? Are they frequent and do they have a significant impact?

​Feedback: Does Xpeng actually listen to the community? If so, where is the "official" place to voice opinions?

​Xcombos: I’ve found a few posts, but it’s unclear if an actual list exists. I know "codes" are used, but how does the creation process work? Is it simple? Is there a library of actions within the infotainment system that you can include in these sequences?

​Apps: Which apps can be installed? Can I use the Google Play Store (I use Android), or is there an official Xpeng app store?

​Remote Parking: I know the car can currently be moved forward or backward to park in tight spaces. However, I’ve seen videos (possibly from China) showing the car performing a full parking maneuver via smartphone—including steering and multiple adjustments. If this isn't available yet, is there any word on when it might arrive?

​Changelogs: Is there a website where I can check previous updates and upcoming ones, perhaps with a summary of the release notes?

I picked up my Xpeng G9 Performance in February 2026. Before this, I owned a Tesla Model 3 Performance and a Model Y Performance, so this was quite a technology switch for me.

I genuinely like both brands — Tesla definitely does some things better, while Xpeng excels in other areas. Overall, I was mainly looking for increased comfort, and in that regard I feel the G9 delivers compared to the Model Y.

I’m quite passionate about audio quality. In my experience, Tesla’s sound systems in both cars I owned were surprisingly good “out of the box.” The G9, on paper, has an impressive premium audio system, but I’ve started to notice a few things I’d like to get feedback on from other owners:

• The system sounds really good at low to medium volumes, but it feels like there’s a ceiling around ~70% volume. Beyond that, the sound doesn’t really open up or scale further. I can still comfortably talk to a passenger at full volume, which was basically impossible in my Teslas.
• There seems to be a lack of deep, impactful bass even after adjusting the EQ to max bass settings.
• Spotify audio quality feels underwhelming in the built-in app, while oddly enough, apps like YouTube seem to deliver better sound quality.
• Dolby Atmos is advertised, but I’m not even sure which apps actually support it properly in practice.

I’d also really appreciate any tips on EQ settings — if anyone here has managed to dial in a setup they’re genuinely happy with, I’d love to try it out.

Curious to hear if others have had similar experiences or found any settings tweaks that improve things.

Since they started production in Austria plant in April, I wonder if it has improved delivery time line for customers in Europe.

I have a proposal for a G9 Performance Premium in Portugal with a good price, but imported from an European country. Is it a good idea? The car will have the sw in Portuguese? The assistance in the portuguese company is assured? Anyone did it already?

A lot of people on FB and Reddit were saying they have ordered the Xpeng X9 in Europe last year (2025) with delivery dates confirmed for March/April 2026. What happened to those X9 deliveries?

Níquel Cobalt Manganese batteries in G9 AWD Performance is a good option?

My wife and I use the phone app to auto lock/unlock the car. When one of us exits the car to quickly go into the shops and the remains in the car, the G6 will auto lock. I was surprised the first time this happened, that the car didn't realise there was someone still inside (in the passenger seat), it closed all the windows and powered off. Should I create an Xcombo to stop this or is there something simple that I'm not seeing? When my wife returned to the car, I tried opening the car from the inside but I set off the alarm :-)

I will join the XPeng community soon. I made up my mind already about the company but the following situation is appearing now:

G6 oder P7+

The question purely comes up because of the chipset here in germany. While the P7+ has the latest touring chipset the G6 is missing it.

I like both cars.. but the G6 a little bit more from Design aspects etc.
The one kicker here is the chipset which lets me think about:

Ok i get a new car soon, do i really go for the latest tech here because its really a revolution instead of just an evolution or not.

I know that there always will be something big in the next couple of years again and again. But this is not really the point right here.

Personally im not really into FSD plus it will take ages (I guess) till this is allowed in Germany anyways.. if ever.
So if the chipset purely focuses on the aspects in this area.. i guess I could happily ignore it and go for the G6.
If there is much more to it im not sure if I should rather get the P7+.

Any opinions on this specific topic?

Bonsoir a tous je reçois m'a voiture demain commandé en mars.

Elle devait mettre livraison mercredi dernier mais le jour même a été annulé pour un défaut de mise a la route.

D'après les dire du concessionnaire le voiture ne dépassé pas les 50 kilometres heure.

Avez vous eu déjà ce cas et si oui pouvez vous m'en dire plus et si ça peu se reproduire ?
