Fics with power sellers/giver

So I am looking for fics where mc buy, sells, modifies or gives out powers to people. Yes i know about Cauldron, but I’m talking having a reliable public power granter/seller. Bonus if it show the effect that has on society.

Also i am going to preempt this by saying not Brockton's Celestial Forge. Yes the mc creates power armor but outside the Undersiders no one else really gets powers. Also that fic is way too bloated, over 2 million word. I gave up after reading close to 100 chapters about the ABB bombing and supposedly only like 2-3 weeks have past within those 100 chapters.

How would Taylor Hebert Fill out the Lt Ouroumov's Worm CYOA

Not about any specific fic, Just something I want to hear the communities thoughts on. Questions like "What sort of build would Taylor make?" "what do you think she's make compromises on in the case of Master like Powers if she chose any?" & "what drawbacks do you think she'd be more willing to take on?" have plagued my mind for the last few days, so I'm interested in seeing what you Guys/Girls/Mammals have to say

Thief Taylor

I'm looking for fics where Taylor is a professional thief and not just because she's part of the Undersiders. (She can still join but need her own credentials.)

One shots, completed, or recently updated fics are preferred but not necessarily.

Thank you.

Help a newbie out

I’m trying to find a fic that is a good primer that doesn’t require having read Worm. My partner is willing to read fic from a new fandom but probably won’t read worm yet.

Newbie Recs

Hi - new to the community, looking for general recs/favorites?

Prefer romance (any pairing will do, also romance doesn't need to be the main focus). And strong writing, maybe.

Have (basically only) read (and enjoyed a lot): Scaly Worm, Burn Up/Glassmaker, Wanderer, Paper Wolves, Bluenine Misc Collection

Any fics where scion is the one that got attacked by abbadon instead of eden?

Title says it all. Would like to read an alt universe where scion is the one that went down not eden.

Weekly /r/WormFanfic Discussion - What have you been reading, and what do you think of it? For the week ending May 16, 2026.

This week = the one that ends/ended right now, past seven days.

The reason for this thread's existence is the fact that both requests and suggestions can become kind of stale. It's supposed to bring out more fics that people are currently reading (or rereading), regardless of how old or new they are.

Also, not a rule or any kind of criticism, the more interesting part is not the list of the stuff you read, but your impressions of it.

What are the stations of canon, exactly?

I'm writing an essay on the differences between the movie and book versions of Watership Down, and I'm using the "stations of canon" concept in the essay (going to graduate soon! wahoo!). What exactly would you consider the "stations of canon?"

Besides Silence is Not Consent and Desperate Times Call for Desperate Pleasures, what are your favorite “Carol Dallon’s A+ parenting” fics?

Is there a fanfic ou there that has Taylor drop her "skitter" persona after a serious or traumatic situation and the heroes get to see that moment?

Thought it would be a interesting plot point, having the heroes get to see the seemingly terrifying bug controller at a low point and start revaluating how they see her.

Taylor in canon makes sure to never get to that point even when she has an injury so bad she could scream,so i wonder if any fanfics ever touched upon that.

Isekai fics where the shards arent super uber powerful compared to the universe's higher being(TM).

Fics like It Was About Us (Post-GM Danmachi) where the gods think QA is a cutie patootie, and Peristalsis (Undersiders in DC) where the greek gods(? im not actually familiar with DC) see the shards looking at them and QA kinda mildly freaked.

Preferably the shards arent *that* much weaker tho. (like Skittering Ladybug)

What if: No Taylor?

Has anyone got any good stories about the world of Worm if Taylor wasn't there?

Almost everything the same, until Skitter doesn't show up and save the Undersiders from Lung. And then examining how the story goes from there.

Most interesting AU element in a fic?

Hello. What I wanted to ask was what is the most interesting AU element you’ve seen in a fic that wasn’t central to the main plot? In Trailblazer there’s the blue guys who are an AU element but it is frequently referenced and Taylor interacts with them.

However, my favorite example of this is Seed, where it’s mentioned that not only did Nilbog take over a small city instead of a small town, but that he came across a group of survivors while doing so. There, a woman who worked at a hardware store was wearing a fake crown, and Nilbog treated her like a fellow ruler - allowing her to negotiate surrender and become an advisor trapped in his territory. The PRT can’t get them out, so instead she argues for her people’s lives and converses with Nilbog frequently to remain in his good graces.
