I NEED TO KNOW What actually is an officer in these terms? Because if they already have police and stuff then what's the point of the gang and how high in the hierarchy or position is Sou's title... I'm so invested it isn't even a joke anymore and it never was a joke to begin with...
I need to know more of this group and organization, what's Sou purpose of going to Bofurin in the first place? Was it to watch over them and make sure things weren't going to become conflicting between the two groups? The fact that they didn't know or have heard anything about the district IN GENERAL is crazy, not even Nirei knew anything and Umemiya being so genuinely shocked... I'm so excited guys but also so scared. Also Sou nepo baby canon???
It feels so sad that he just started learning to trust people and crave their presence only for it to be crushed by someone you trusted most😭
I still stand that Suo has good intentions and we'll just have to hold on and hope that he'll be back in the end🤧
Imagine it was a mafia gang with full weapons and adults
I know that some of y'all probably don't want anymore angst in the future lol 😂 But for the sake of future fanfictions and imagining the story's plot it'd be really interesting to see y'all's ideas.
So i think we all remember what Umemiya said to takkishi in chapter 158, the end of the noroshi war arc, about how there's no experience in this world as fascinating as meeting and understanding others.
The last chapter got me thinking about that one, specifically when we learn about the red chanpuru (and the town they are located in) being essentially a melting pot of multiple different cultures and backgrounds, shown in a brief illustration of people from different parts of the world.
Since Takkishi is in this arc already (and i assume he knows at least somewhat what's going on) would it be possible that he accompanies the main cast on their journey to meet Suo/sun-fei (whatever you wanna call him now)
Think about it: if we assume he really did take Ume's words to heart, he would be at least somewhat interested in meeting new and different people right? And what better place to do that than an entire town that's filled with people with their roots all over the world. Not to mention that the members of red chanpuru are in all likelihood mostly adults, so there is a difference in age as well.
I have seen some people say that there might be an arc with an antagonist group so strong that Ume, takkishi and Endo will have to team up to take them down and IF the red chanpuru are antagonists that could be the case here, and if their not and the arc isn't a straightforward conflict, it could still have Takkishi going around while the main plot is happening.
(And of course if both Sakura and Takkishi are present Endo will most likely be as well)
Now to be clear i DO NOT think Takkishi or Endo are going to become Furin's allies, as it's clear there's still some bad blood between them (Endo still dislikes Ume, the four kings literally glared daggers at endo last chapter, and even Endo “Friendship” with Sakura and Umes with Takkishi are either one-sided or very complicated)
Rather what I think endochikca (which will use to refer to both of them for short) will have as a role for this arc and the rest of the story, is that of the chaos factor. Characters who don't align themselves for or against anyone else and only do what they want to get what they desire.
It clear that after the noroshi war, Endochicka does not have any interest in furin, but they also don't seem to be on their side (only reason endo agreed to help was due to him wanting to please sakura, and takkishi just tagged along to meet Ume)
So i think they will work with fruin as of now, but then do their own thing, and if that means they will be with or against furin, or not have anything to do with them at all, will simply depend on what they want at the moment.
Idk if it's just me but i have a love hate opinion on this panel art...all the details like the hair, the outfit, the body are nice but just his face is bugging me like this is such an important panel and his face looks kinda off, mostly his eye and the small shadow under it. I understand it needs to give off a weird mysterious feeling but i know this was nor their best take...
Not gonna complain too much tho cuz we got the recent chapters back to back weekly. I understand if this was rushed or if they got tried
He's so rude to Umemiya and he's only just a visitor😭
Weirdly enough, i kinda ship them a tiny bit. They're giving Enemies to Lovers trope lol.
strongest guy in the enitre series btw

So one of my favorite parts about this last chapter was the explanation for the Kesai district, the bankoku-gai, and the red chanpuru, and how they seem to be in a different town than furin.
What I find so cool about this is apart from it being a cool concept for a place (and looking really cool in the last few panels of the chapter) is how this opens up the world of windbreakers.
We spent the entire series in Makoichi town, finding out about its sections, its history, its gangs, etc. But with the introduction of the kensai district we see that there are other towns out there with just as much going on, and it really makes me wonder what other towns and gangs are out there.
So what I'm thinking is that maybe the rest of this series (since i highly doubt this is the last arc) will focus a lot on things outside of maokichi town, and how Bofruin might get involved with that since they are already involved with the red chanpuru.
I personally think it would be really cool, seeing now setting, characters, etc, and i also think that if the final arc of the series is going to be some big threat, it would make more sense to have it built up then just appear out of nowhere, and one way Nii-sensei could do that is by setting up a larger world.
Plus the small-scale story arcs (That we have mostly gotten between the end of the noroshi arc and the start of this) could maybe have been a breather with the sakurai and Momojikawa conversation being the last piece of that, with this new stretch of the story going into a grander scope.
And lets not forget that windbreaker has done long, overarching plot lines before, as Endo (and by implication the conflict with the noroshi) was introduced at the end of the Keel arc, and the noroshi arc itself concluded around 100 chapters after that, so this arc could also be a way to set up thing in the future.
It would also, of course, serve the world building of the series. While it was definitely fun getting to know about Makoichi town, seeing something like Kansai, which is completely separated from that and has its own history, culture, etc, would make the world feel so much more alive and complex.
Not saying it will go all out on this the same way other works of fiction do, and it will still be about Bofruin at the end of the day, but I do think it's a possible direction for the series to take in the future.
Anyway that's just my thoughts, feel free to tell me yours.
Im running out of ideas/thoughts on what would happen next chapter since we'll have to wait 2 weeks for it.
We might be finally getting a chapter on Suo's/Sun Fei's perspective when he was leaving Furin or maybe a chapter on what's happening in Red Chanpuru.
Or: A chapter with furin after what happened in the rooftop and discussing what they would do. I feel like Sakura would push on going to still take Suo back but Umemiya and the four kings would refuse since getting involve or stirring a conflict with Red Chanpuru would get Furin and Makochi in danger.
Everyone would probably get discouraged too...
I don't even feel like Endo would agree if Sakura asked him 😭
If that's the case, knowing how stubborn Sakura could be, he may push himself to go there on his own and Nirei would probably come along too.
My idea here isn't really that strong and y'all would probably make a better theory than this but I just really wanna share this and also see what ideas y'all have.
Suo talking about stuff the others don’t understand seems like a true habit of his, both Furin >!and the red chanpuru!< are fed up with his yapping lol
I hope this title is generic enough 😅 I'm not on here very often but the new chapter made me want to gather theories!
>!Now that we know Suo is an officer and not just a low rank member, and in such a close-knit organization too, why do you think he came to join bofurin? I think at least sabotage seems unlikely, since he only helped them. (side note, now it makes sense how he knew so much about being a leader, always having the perfect advice for Sakura!) !<
>!The most simple reason would be to escape something he didn't like in the red chanpuru - a person, things always being the same/boring, unnecessarily violent practices, stuff like that. He seemed pretty chill with being back though, at most wistful, which makes this seem less likely. But he's so unreadable, it's hard to tell. Maybe the police were cracking down on them and he had to lay low until that passed? !<
>!On the other hand he might have come looking for something. Like a runaway member hiding in the district, potential new members to recruit after their school time is up, or fresh new influences to his mixed fighting style. Or just gathering info on potential threats to Kasai, which would be a good reason to stick so closely to Nirei. !<
So many options!! Curious what yall think is likely or if there's any other possibilities I didn't think of!
He probably was thinking of Furin when he said "I can hear the Wind's voice here" and he's holding a leaf bro, a LEAF—y'all remember that time in one of the chapter where Suo placed a leaf on Nirei's head instead of giving his coat, so if you get it, you get it🤧
I just have a huge feeling that he just doesn't want to be there just by the vibe he's giving and he literally has a fake smile on 😭
The guys are also somewhat mean to him too...
I honestly dont feel like squeezing any meme content from this (I will) just by how depressing things have been and I know that I've remained positive throughout his Arc but this has taken a huge toll on me even tho we already had an idea on it way back.
