A huge number of the changes below happened because of your comments and suggestions.

Here’s what’s included in today’s update:
• Added an autosave notification
• Added new autosave checkpoints
• Optimized video playback on Low settings to improve frame rate performance
• Reworked the objective description in Chapter 3
• Increased flashlight battery duration
• Adjusted Chapter 4 to make progression smoother
• Made the avalanche sequence in Chapter 6 easier to complete
• Fixed a collision issue in Chapter 6
• Fixed a bug where players could fall after taking the azimuth in Chapter 6
• Fixed the sonar issue in Chapter 7
• Fixed various minor visual and cosmetic issues

And this is not the end.
We are currently working on a much larger upcoming patch focused on additional save checkpoints, an enhanced UI, puzzle optimization and balancing, localization improvements, broader gameplay and overall player experience refinements, along with extra fixes. We’ll share more details on that very soon.

As a small self-publishing team releasing our first game, seeing you play WILL means the world to us. We’ll keep listening carefully and doing our best to bring the game closer and closer to the experience we envisioned.

Thank you for staying the course with us.

Spoiler heavy - Ending discussion.

First off, I really liked the game. I didn't love it, and I have certain issues and things I disliked, but I enjoyed my time playing it and it's evident a lot of love was put into this game, so kudos for that.

Anyways, I may be a bit slow but I did not really understand the story / ending. Obviously, massive spoilers below, so if you haven't finished the game, leave the thread now.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

At the very end, are those Thomas and Ila waiting for you ?

We know:

- Thomas was missing - is he dead ?
- Ila should be dead.

So then, Is Will dead ? if so, how did he die ?
Is Derek (Will's father) dead or alive ???

I also just now noticed that the storm at the very start of the game is also the last storm we face at the end of the game :

- At the start of the game , we sail through 2 big dangerous waves, and it seems the final one will kill us (Will yells "NOOOO" desperately , and then it fades to black )
- At the end of the game, we sail through the same 2 big waves, but after that we see the light... and follow the light ( Metaphor for dying ??)

So in my eyes the outcome is the same - but on the last storm it seems the difference is we made peace with Derek and we also stop blaming ourselves for not being there for Thomas after Ila passed, same way Derek went missing when Will's mom passed.

Chronologically, when does this storm happen ?

Anyways I may be talking nonsense but I want to hear what's your guys take on the story and ending.

Peace!

Awesome game!!

I bought it yesterday and found myself playing for hours. No rush at all. Just enjoying the atmosphere. The story is very good and captivating. The feeling of being in the character's place and skin is quite enjoyable. The overall design is a chapter apart, as are the visuals, which performed very well in UE5. I'm consuming the story very slowly, appreciating it, thinking about it after I play. I highly recommend buying it. It's worth every second! I played it on PS5. My only request would be to be able to adjust the font size, which sometimes seems too large and doesn't use the best font. The UI could be more polished.

Is this game similar to…?

I’m curious if this game is similar to games like Still Wakes the Deep, Firewatch and Arctic Awakening. Not necessarily in terms of style or story, but more in terms of being a fairly linear (in a good way), cinematic kind of “walking simulator” (in a good way) with some light puzzles that are not too frustrating.

What I enjoy about those games is that they’re uncomplicated. There’s no busy HUD, no convoluted crafting or survival mechanics, no skill trees or leveling systems, and barely even any inventory to manage.

That simplicity is a strength because of the execution, including voice acting, compelling scripted sequences, well-executed environments and overall pacing.

I’m hoping this might be similar. Anyone know?
