Summer Storage Wax?

Hey there, I seem to have missed the cut off in a lot of the shops to get some summer wax thrown on my skis. And no, I don’t have an iron or wax to just do it myself. Does anybody know who might still be doing summer storage wax in and around Whistler? TIA!

Local Business Owners..

Is there much demand for a professional bookkeeping service?

I grew up in Whistler and after being elsewhere for 15 years returned(2 years ago now) with my Fiance and daughter.

My fiance manages a bookkeeping department out of Langley and after her return to work she's been working a bit too much and we are looking to dial that back. I'm curious about the demand for professional bookkeeping in Whistler.

As a business owner here, do you find yourself shopping Squamish or Vancouver bookkeeping business or is there a reasonable supply locally?

Thanks in advance for any information. A private practice would suit her very well and I'd love for her client list to lower from 80 to something a bit more manageable as a family.

Again, TIA!

Terrain.

What’s realistically still open/ rideable, planning on driving up Tuesday/Wednesday. Looks like the terrain parks on Catskinner are closed, have they built any on 7th heaven?

Driveway Aesthetics

Does anyone have any experience to share regarding staining driveway vs. complete removal & re-do? It sounds like a good alternative to stain vs. replace, but I've never seen one or talked to anyone about them. Thanks.

I have one day ticket left to use

I know it’s May. I saw the dirt ride.

is it still half decent soft spring conditions?

Would suck to throw away a ticket.

Here with the kids for a week. We’ve done a ton of biking, the mine(the kids loved the tour and panning!), the village, a scavenger hunt, the library, pretty much all the stuff we can walk to as well. We’re skipping vallea lumina this trip and MIGHT do the tree adventure but they’ve already done wildplay in maple ridge a lot.

They loved gold panning at Brittania and want to do it again but pretty sure you’d have to do the tour too- is there anywhere we can go to find rocks? They have a rock book and app so I thought they might like that for a couple hours.

We’d also like to do mini golf but it looks like that opens may 15? Are people bringing their own clubs or is there somewhere renting them I can’t see? We saw a couple there this week.

Any other activities we can do to kill time for the next two days? I’m thinking the indoor pool and mini golf today, maybe rock searching tomorrow if I can find a good spot. It would be awesome if they could find a piece of quartz or something

How can this little pond at the golf course have such turquoise water? Putting on my tin foil hat and saying it’s water dye and it’s turning the frogs gay.

I am biking for 2 weeks in Whistler early June.

I have a good deal on accommodation in the Upper Village at the top of Painted Cliff Rd. Is it a good spot to access the Fitzsimmons chairlift?

Can I bike through the ski runs in the summer and then down to the lift? Would biking over to P Lot 6 and then down "Village Run" be pretty fast?

How about getting back up Painted Cliff Rd with a bike? Can I bike up Little Burn? I saw there is a free bus (route 5), do they accept bikes?

Cheers,

Is Whistler Platinum a reputable company ?
I am planning on renting a property from them for a month. It requires that I provide fu payment upfront on their website . Their properties are also on AirBnB but they are more expensive .
Is the security of airBnB worth sacrificing for a cheaper deal ?
Can anyone confirm these guys are the real deal ?https://www.whistlerplatinum.com

whats the parking meta this late in the season?

I have vague memories of closing weekends at blackcomb where I was still able to take excal up. Seems that is not the case anymore.

  1. I assume the village day time lots are still paid?
  2. If you park at the blackcomb free lots do you gotta somehow get down to the gondola?
