I worked for this shady market in Lynden for 4 days and a month later they never paid me a dime. I told them I had found a better job, but would work the rest of the schedule. He immediately let me go and never paid me. Please do not support this place. For the love of God, never work for them.
Extremely poor experiences with Mt Baker Imaging, due to the fact that they might not tell you when you schedule (or anytime leading up to the appointment) what to expect and may surprise you AT your appointment with additional procedures, fees, and preparatory requirements. If you don't like unnecessary, totally preventable medical surprises being sprung on you, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere.
First they tried to slap a $1,000+ painful, lengthy procedure onto what was supposed to be a completely painless quick scan, calling it their 'protocol'. No prior information about it given to me, and it was not in my referral from the doctor, who was surprised to hear of it and ultimately deemed it unnecessary.
A few months later, walked in expecting a different completely painless and relatively quick scan, found out that I was supposed to have fasted (already had breakfast) and there would be an IV and far more time involved than I'd planned to take off of work, and I was not prepared as needed because NO. ONE. TOLD. ME.
They have now delayed my medical care twice due to extremely poor communication practices at their office. And despite the obvious line the scheduling office manager gave me about this not being 'a normal experience for patients', the first two reviews I saw on Google had very similar experiences!
Patients need time to plan and prepare for these things: the time involved, the pain involved, the costs involved. I shouldn't have to explain this to them. Every other medical office I (and also everyone else I've talked with about this) have been to has made it abundantly clear what to expect and how to prepare well ahead of time, and often via multiple modes of communication to make sure it's received and understood -- as they should!
MBI acts like this total lack of communication is normal but it is clearly not normal or acceptable. Their solution each time was to try and have a tech talk to me about the pros and cons of the procedure but that's completely beside the point and doesn't solve the issue that they have unnecessarily given me a massive anxiety spike, and delayed my care. Those factors should have been explained to me when or shortly after the appointment was made!
This treatment really makes me feel like they see me as just a slab of meat they can put in a scanner to make money come out. Very little consideration given and I can't imagine why they seem to think this is reasonable policy or good business, let alone good care for people.
My mom's dog had an accident litter and the pups are now old enough for a new home. 1 pup left is a male named buster
I was hesitant at first because I dislike drama, but I feel like this gym needs to be held accountable, and this is the only way I can do it. I started bringing my 5- and 7-year-olds here for just under a year. They loved it; they made friends; my daughter competed in and won a huge tournament. I had truly thought I had found a treasure for my kids to grow in. My children are young, and the instructors here will encourage you, as a parent, to help your kids follow instructions and practice the techniques they are teaching. I had been doing this with my daughter and son every time we went; it was completely acceptable and encouraged. This is where everything went horribly wrong.....My daughter was practicing drills with a young boy I had known for quite some time. She was using the sweep technique incorrectly, so I quickly got on the floor with her and said, "Grab his collar or sleeves." Stop grabbing the back of his head. I got up and went back to my seat, as I had so many times before. I did not speak to this boy or even look at him; I only communicated with my daughter. For some reason, whatever I said to my daughter upset this boy; his mom became irate, and they stormed out of the gym. I got a call a few days later from 2 of the main coaches: "Jesse, we watched the video, and you did nothing wrong, but you can't come back to the gym." I also recorded THAT conversation. They also have cameras that prove everything I am saying. But because this boy is now disturbed by what I did and has a mother full of vitriol and hatred, their solution is to kick me out of the gym for doing exactly what they told me to do. I am the only one who can drive my kids to practice; they can no longer do jujitsu here. If you have kids and want to get them involved in Jujitsu, avoid this place at ALL COSTS. I imagine they will respond to this and try to defend themselves, but it's all bullshit, and I have proof. I will be exploring my legal options over the next few weeks. I will not forget this. And if the "mother" reads this, I hope you feel better about yourself. I hope hurting my children helps you and your child feel better, truly I do, at least you get something out of it, right? You should be so proud of yourself. What a great mother.
My dog slipped away from me and jumped my fence, in the process my dog ended up attacking another dog. The external injuries were very minor but it did cause a hernia and the dog is in surgery. I do not have much money, and certainly not enough to pay for the surgery which is estimated to be between 5-10k- but I offered to help pay what I can. The lady told me that they don't know if the dog will make it or not.
Understanding the severity of the situation I don't want to risk this happening again, along with the fact that shelters are over filled and rescues struggling, as much as this pains me to do so, I am considering euthenisation.
I'm trying to find low cost options for euthenisation... That is unless there is someone who is willing to work with a dog that is an escape artist and has some dog aggression
