Have any idea who your local and state officials are running for office? No? Thought that may be the case. Local elections can have far greater impact than federal and go under the radar. Check this site out . It's a pretty good jump start to your research process. It helps to understand who you want to look more into. There's more information out there but this is a site that puts a lot in one place for you to check into.
A few events worth knowing about this week:
- Teachers & Nurses: Rucci's Italian Kitchen in White Plains is giving a free meal up to $15 Wednesday for Appreciation Week. Valid work ID required, dine-in purchase required.
- Paint N Sip in Waldorf is doing a Cinco de Mayo Taco Tuesday for their 2-year anniversary. $25, two hours, fun low-key Tuesday night.
- Tuesday night: CSM Dance Ensemble performs "Unspoken Words" at the Gottfried Theater in La Plata. $5 a ticket, original student choreography, genuinely a great deal.
