Found this reel at a thrift shop for $9.00 and grabbed it mostly because it was a Ryobi. I figured it looked cool and was probably worth the snag.

It says “Ceratec 130” but I honestly don’t know anything about it or how old it is.

It seems to be in decent shape and feels pretty smooth.

Is this anything special or just an older basic reel? And is it worth cleaning up and using?

I found this cool old rod. It has a wood handle, a Penn reel, cork grip and other than the reel being dusty and dirty from sitti g in the corner of a garage for years, it’s in pretty good shape. I can’t find a maker or label on the rod. I’d really appreciate any info about this rod - maker? Year? Is it valuable for resale? Thanks in advance.

I have this vintage Allcock Ariel style reel, no branding or marking, does anyone know anything about it? Wondering if it was made by Allcock under contract, or by someone else. Many thanks!

Broken Vintage Curado

Recently a family friend dropped off an old shimano curado bantam cu-200b5. I was going to go fish with it but I heard a rattle coming from inside the reel. I unscrewed the brake side to find the blue plastic brake part (sorry for butchering that so hard I don’t know what the proper term is) with all the little metal pins and red plastic feet was cracked and was missing 3 little pins. I tried multiple times to super glue it back together but to no avail. I have been searching for an aftermarket or original spool to replace the old one because this brake piece was part of the spool. Problem is I can’t find any online, what should I do? note the picture I posted is what it looked like after trying to fix it. I didn’t have any photos of what it looked like after opening it.
