Got this off Vinted! Tbh, will be keeping it even if it’s fake because it’s definitely real leather and I love the way the bag looks and feels. Still, I’d love to hear anyone’s thoughts on it! Bought it for around £30, not sure of the exact vintage or make, the seller says early 2000s.
I picked this bag up locally from a gentleman who found it in the back of his aunt's closet after she passed. I bought it because I genuinely liked it and it seemed like an authentic vintage Coach bag. For the life of me, I cannot seem to ID this one. It's still partially wet in the pictures so that's the discoloration that you're seeing. I think it's from the Bonnie Cashin era. The bags that I can compare it closest to is the Shopping Bag, but it's still not quite right. This bag measures 8×11×3 inches and it has 1 inside zipper pocket. The zipper is also dark hunter green looking. Can anyone help me figure this out? I'd be forever grateful.
Hi there! I’ve seen similar styles with and without creeds but same lining. Any information re style/year and color would be greatly appreciated! Thank you! Rachel
does this look authentic? thanks!
Hi there! Another vintage flea market find I couldn’t pass up!!! Any input/ suggestions would be greatly APPRECIATED!!!
I recently bought this on the marketplace and now I have strong concerns. Apparently, I missed some of the obvious signs. It came from a seller who previously sold me what I do believe (from creed, leather, hardware, and stitching, original paperwork) is real.
I was excited! The main Coach page didn’t seem as excited for me 😆 but I don’t know…I like it and it’s in excellent condition.
So I have always loved vintage Coach, I remember playing dress up as a kid with my mom’s purses and heels and makeup and loving her black leather bag because it felt fancy to me even at that age. I’m a late 80’s baby and my mom definitely scored some great pieces when she was working in lower Manhattan before I was born. Lately I’ve been seeing more 90’s and early 2000’s pieces online, but this weekend I hit an estate sale in central NJ (yes it exists) at 9am right when it started and right off the bat these 3 gems were waiting for me on a table as soon as I walked in. I have been wanting a Willis for months now but for it to fall in my lap like this was like hearing the hallelujah choir validating all my life choices. Anyway I guess the moral of the story is the early bed gets the worm? I’m so delighted. I conditioned them once I got home and will do another round before carrying any of them- I’ve never seen a Weston before and I’m excited to see how it works for my habit of schlepping too much around with me all the time.
I saw this in Goodwill but I can’t seem to find the date code anywhere online. It’s 1.99 and I won’t be mad if it isn’t. Still cute. No 0853-344
Can anyone identify this or provide any details?
thanks to my handsome handyman 🥰Hubby🥰 I am absolutely thrilled about this piece! 🤩
I can't find the model number anywhere and I know I've seen this bag before of course I just don't know the name of it..
And I'm also questioning if it's real.
The creed looks like it reads M4D-9892? Any information is appreciated 🙂
Any thoughts about this bag? they said it’s a rare find.
About five years ago, I picked up this bag for $20 at a yardsale. The woman had about 5 vintage Coach bags, a couple she said were fake. This one she said was real, but... is it?
Recently thrifted this vintage Coach, as far as i can tell its from the 2000s, but theres no authentication patch, otherwise the hardware is pretty sturdy, all good on the leather, and seems authentic.

Edit #2 - per Google Coach began producing bags in China in 2006, but says this bag was made in 2003 🤷🏾, now I don't know what to think. I love the bag but I paid too much for it to be a fake.
I read in another post that the underline shouldn't be the same length as the 'o' in 'No' - does that mean my vintage Metropolitan Messenger bag is not authentic? Help, please!!!!! She just arrived today.
