Hello! I wanted to see the documentary Nobody Here but I saw the trailer and was.... Disappointed
The trailer really just felt like "look how popular vaporwave become" and " music is so good it unite us" from the main trailer I had this feeling that you could replace vaporwave with any music genre and the trailer still make sense.
My question is is the documentary doing any deep dive into vaporwave (vektroid, the satirical capitalist utopia, internet subculture, sampling/ plunder phonics , early streaming and underground internet culture) or it's just "vaporwave got popular here's how and when"?
Thank you!!
Have you seen the Vaporwave film yet?
If you don’t have time, Frank JavCee put together the key highlights for you.
Starring Charlie Sheen, of all people
Stumbled across this Vaporwave playlist with this very distinct AI generated image ( I pressume the tracks might be as well). What do you think of it from a philosophical, moral or theolgical perspective?
This 3-track collection is a direct homage to the analog warmth and grainy textures of Boards of Canada.
Created from dusty breakbeats, drifting oscillators, and tape machines that have seen better days.
I tried to capture that feeling of being a kid on those long car trips....being stuck to hot vinyl seats in the summer while hanging your arm out the back window.... air surfing to past the time.
This is my take on that dusty lo-fi, experimental trip-hop sound.

Popped up on Tidal and Spotify, but I was surprised not to have seen anything on Bandcamp about it. I know these pages are often easily hijacked so I wanted to ask, anyone know?
this will be released tomorrow, April 24th, 2026, on World End Collapse

I found the commercial behind the album cover and decided to make a video based on it. Also if anyone know the original sample for this song please tell me! I have been searching it for a long time now, It’s my favorite vaporwave song.
It's big and it's here! I got 9 vaporwave producers from Argentina to talk about their music and their country. Featuring Dario Matta, EAST ACCESS, eccodroid, endlessdream, ishiiburidai, LAPA, Nahuelsat, Trademarks & Copyrights, and Zai Kowen! Also accompanied with a mix from the great BORT media!
Check out the video mix from BORT here:
One of the main aspects of this genre that initially attracted me to it was the artwork for the albums. Does anyone have any idea how these artists find the images for these records, more specifically the artwork you’d see on albums from someone such as t e l e p a t h, I have always been intrigued on how they find and select images for these albums
[my last post had pinned images of some examples from popular t e l e p a t h records but was removed because of an dumb rule here, so please google some of his records for context]
