Some of you may have seen a post I made yesterday for a write support for my SpaceMouse compact that combines with a Treaslin N1 Stream Deck.

Well today I bring you a working plugin and I am hoping some of you wonderful people would be wanting to have a play around with it and provide some feedback.

It is confirmed working with the Treaslin N1, but may also be compatible with VSDinside Stream Dock N1, M18, 293s, N3 and N3E; but as yet this is not confirmed.

The plugin has working pages and buttons for Create and Modify Solid commands, Create and Modify Sketch commands (along with pages for each sub-category within) along with sketch constraints.

In future releases, I intend to add in support for Forms and Surface tools, but this is at least 4 weeks away due to other commitments.

The plugin comes in 2 parts. The plugin itself (which must be copied to the plugins folder) and a button profile which puts everything in the correct place. I intend to make this available via the VSD app store at some point, but I would like it tested before then and have an idea what other devices it works on.

I know many of you are fans of GitHub, so I have uploaded it there along with Google Drive. (I don't use GitHub or even understand it very well, so I've likely done it wrong)

I would love to hear your comments or feedback either via this post, or from the Google form linked within the user guide.

EDIT: v1.2 now live. This removes the requirement for users of the plugin to set up custom shortcuts within Fusion 360 and now relies on a 'command search' approach making setup faster and less prone to user created errors. Links updated.

I made - Custom N1 Under Desk Tilt Mount

I made an under-desk pull-out tilt mount for the TreasLin N1 / VSDinside N1 stream controller.

The idea was to keep the N1 tucked away under the desk when not in use, but still easy to access. It slides out and tilts down to around 45 degrees, which makes it much nicer to use than having it flat under the desk or taking up space on top.

It is designed around a specific USB-C adapter so the cable exits cleanly out the back instead of sticking out awkwardly. I have included the Fusion 360 file as well for anyone who wants to modify it for personal use.

Printed in PETG on a Bambu X1C. The 3MF is set up across two plates with custom support settings, so I recommend using that rather than re-slicing everything from scratch.

MakerWorld link - Boosts appreciated.

Would be interested to hear any feedback, especially from anyone else using the N1 or VSD Craft.

I built open-source software for the TreasLin / VSDinside N3 stream controller

I picked up the TreasLin / VSDinside N3 stream controller because the hardware looked really interesting: 6 LCD keys, 3 side buttons, and 3 rotary knobs with press actions in a pretty compact layout.

The hardware is honestly pretty cool, but I saw a lot of people frustrated with the included software, so I added native N3 support to my open-source app, Amp Up.

GitHub:
https://github.com/audioslayer/ampup

Right now the N3 support is in beta, but it already supports:

  • LCD key setup with titles, icons, colors, and glow
  • Pages and Spaces/folders
  • Side button actions
  • Rotary encoder actions
  • Encoder press actions
  • Media controls, app launching, macros, URLs, text snippets, screenshots, etc.
  • Audio controls and per-app volume control on Windows

Amp Up also started as replacement software for the Turn Up audio mixer, so there are a lot of audio-control features built in too.

This is still early, and I’d love feedback from anyone else with an N3. If you’ve got one and want to try different software for it, the latest beta release is here:
