Enviolo hub completely failed while riding on flat ground 2 days ago, 3 days out of warranty, just under 2000kms on it. It’s not the freewheel. Now I’m stuck with this ghetto singlspeed setup using a nexus 3 until parts show up. Never using one of these hubs again. Going to swap for an Alfine 8 for now, nexus 5e or rohloff long term. Worst part is how much better it rides now even with the jank.

Steering Link hinge replacement

Hi all, I need to replace the link hinge on my UA Family. The current one has been hit, stepped on, crashed into and is in bad shape. I purchased the V2 hinge since my bike is a 2022 model. However I cannot figure out how to remove the old hinge. Here is a picture of the current hinge link. Does anyone have any advice on removal so that I can get the new one installed and get rid of the loose connection?

Rain covers with more headroom

Hi Folks,

We have an urban arrow and are based in Canada. We love it. We got the second bench and kiddos (tall 6 and 4 year olds) really love the extra space. The problem is they both hit their head on the rain cover plus on the front bench and we have the rain cover on for about 6 months a year.

We are heading to Europe for 5 weeks and wondering if this might be a chance to buy a rain cover that has more headroom for the upcoming winter. Does anyone have any recommendations for something with even higher headroom in the front than the rain cover plus? Ideally more of a box shape like other rain covers instead of the slop down in the front. Thanks!

For context, I have been riding bikes about as long as I’ve been able to walk. I’m very comfortable on multiple kinds of bikes, including road, gravel, and a commuter E-bike that my husband and I share.

I did a test ride of the urban arrow family and I felt pretty comfortable after a few minutes, but I’m a bit nervous about how long it will take me to feel comfortable with my kiddo in the front. For others who’ve purchased this bike, how long before you felt fully confident and zipping around town with kids in front?

Best option for baby seat?

We’re soon-to-owners of an urban arrow family next. We have a 7-month-old and a 3-year-old. We want to figure out the best option for our baby.

We’ve ruled out the car seat because the baby will outgrow that fairly soon and it’s quite expensive. We could either do the Thule Yepp adapter and a Yepp Mini or a Babboe or Melia seat. We’re in Canada and can easily get the Thule option whereas a Babboe or Melia is going to be trickier to access.

For context, our kids are both smallish (25th percentile) and don’t have an issue being close together right now. I am leaning towards the Thule option because it’s easy to get and the baby would be rear facing, which is safer and also might help with her separation anxiety. But I’m open to the Babboe or Melia being a better option. What would you do?

ETA: if we go with a toddler seat (Yepp/melia/babboe) we’d wait until the baby is at least 9 months old to ride with her.
