Hi! I’m an international student admitted for the Fall 2026 intake at the University of Helsinki with tuition waiver. I currently have enough funds to cover about half a year of living expenses, but I’ll need to find a job after that.
I’ve noticed many trainee positions listed for international students on the university website. What are the chances of securing one of these roles? Also, when would be the best time to start applying?

I (26F) just got accepted into the Master's in Data Science program at the University of Helsinki. I am an India and have never been to Finland, so am not aware of the culture or the job market. I was excited to apply because of a change in culture, but I can't afford to waste money on a degree that will not help in finding a job. So I was wondering if anyone had any advice on the job market after this program and if it would be better to apply for jobs within Finland after graduating?
Does this degree mean anything or would I just be paying to be in the same situation I'm in right now but a few years later?

Hi Guys I got into the program with 100 percent scholarship, was waitlisted at Aalto University and got into a Top 10 CS university in USA (Georgia Tech).
