this story happened to me and my friend Charlie. we were neighbors back then. i think were in second grade when this incident happened in their house.

one day we walked home together from school. she told me she wants to play with me but first she will have to ask permission to her mom and that she will leave her school bag in their house. i agreed and followed her to their home.

she told me to wait outside coz she won't be long. and so i just sat at their garden bench.

Charlie's 2-storey is quite wide and the second floor is where their bedrooms are. the glass windows there have grills.

while i was looking at the exterior of their house someone suddenly pulled a curtain. someone from the inside peeked at me. she looked dirty.

i stood up coz i got scared and was surprised that she appeared. i shouted at Charlie who at that time was still inside.

the woman waved at mewhile i kept calling my friend who also kept shouting to wait for her. the woman made a gesture to be quiet and since i was a kid that time i went silent.

she told me to get near her but i didn't budge. i still can't forget what she told me that day. she told me she is Charlie who's my friend. she told me to help her get out of the house without letting the young Charlie see her so she can already go home.

i just stared at her coz i feel like i was getting dumb about the things she's saying. she gestured to hurry up and there's panic in her face but still i didn't move.

my friend Charlie already went out that time and that woman pulled the curtains to hide. she even closed the glass window so fast that it made a noise and even Charlie heard it and looked that way. i immediately told what happened to my friend and she also got scared. she called her mom who was inside and now it's three of us who were afraid.

her mom asked a neighbor to check the whole house but no one was there.

Charlie said i was just making fun of her but up until now i will keep on saying that what happened and what i saw was real.

fast forward 2023 i already lost communication with Charlie coz i moved out to another country when i reached highs chool. and so i don't news about my childhood friends and elementary classmates anymore.

one day i was scrolling on ig and since Charlie and i have mutual friend there, i found out what happened to her. that mutual friend shared a post of what happened to my childhood friend.

it says there that she's gone missing after she went with her American boyfriend that she met on fb. and when i stalked Charlie's account that was tagged, i immediately recognized her face as the woman i saw in their house many years ago. they really looked alike and even the shade of their hair which was red-orange.

what i found out is that Charlie got very attracted to her boyfriend and believed everything he said. that he was an engineer based in America and was mainly focused on how to improve technology and other related fields to that.

Charlie thought she already landed a very rich boyfriend and will be able to live the American dream. but then 1 month after she went with him she had gone missing since then. and even her bf cannot be contacted anymore.

this is now opinion since i'm someone who loves conspiracy theories. was it really the older Charlie who i saw before? was her boyfriend's field of work related to her disappearance? and if she really is missing, is she still in the timeline when we were kids?

it's now almost 3 years since she's gone missing. and there's still no update about her whereabouts. her boyfriend cannot be found in any social medias anymore.

Ok title is slightly jokey but this is such a weird occurrence and I’m just curious if anyone else has had a similar experience.

My friends and I go to New Orleans every year around the same time. Last year, my friend Hank sprained his ankle pretty bad on the trip and was hobbling around everywhere. It got worse and worse as the trip went on and he was pretty miserable.

This year, we decided to not do the trip for one reason or another, but Hank went last minute because his dad wanted to go.

Here’s the weird part— the day before he leaves for NOLA, he notices a bruise forming on the same ankle he sprained the year prior. He has no recollection of any injury, bump, etc that could have caused this. Now he’s in New Orleans and says the pain has gotten worse to the point he needs to wear a brace to get around.

What the heck?! He jokes he’s having a psychosomatic response or that some voodoo is at play. Me, I’m just wondering if anyone else has a similar story or can shed light on this phenomenon. If anything, it’s one weird coincidence.

TLDR: my friend sprained his ankle in NOLA last year and the day before he plans to a return a year later a mysterious bruise forms on that same ankle and has turned into a sprain without any event causing the injury. Has this happened to anyone else?
