I've been hearing a lot about how most Indian engineering colleges are stuck with the same curriculum from 10 years ago, and honestly it's one of my biggest concerns before committing to any university. So I wanted to ask specifically about Galgotias, do they actually update what they teach, or is it the same old stuff repackaged?

Like, are you learning things that matter in the real world, actual tech stacks, tools companies use, relevant frameworks, or is it mostly theoretical with barely any hands-on work? And what about labs and projects? Are they the kind that look good on a resume or just checkbox exercises you do to pass the semester?

And when it comes to placements, do companies actually care about your GPA, or do they care more about what you've built and what you know?

Basically I just want to know, will four years here genuinely make me job-ready, or am I going to have to self-teach most of the relevant stuff after graduation anyway?

I’m considering Galgotias for engineering, but one thing I genuinely want to understand is what student life actually feels like beyond academics. I know college is obviously about studying and building a career, but I also don’t want the next four years to feel like constant pressure with no real experiences or social life.

How’s the overall environment at Galgotias when it comes to clubs, student communities, events, sports, and campus culture? Are there active societies where students genuinely participate and make connections, or is most of the focus only on academics? I’d also love to know about annual fests, weekend activities, and how students usually spend their free time on campus.

Most importantly, is it realistically possible to balance academics with having a good social life there? I’m hoping for a college experience where I can grow professionally while also making memories, meeting interesting people, and actually enjoying the journey instead of just surviving it.
