Is the mechanical engineering group serious there ?

I have bmsce , uvce and msrit as my options for mech

I could join uvce cause of the fees (trust me a loan free environment after college is the best)

If I join uvce mechanical , how are the mechanical peers there? I am very deep into mechanical I already which parts of mech eng I have to do, I already know the areas of mechanical engineering and which companies provide those internships

I just wanna know if the people there are as serious about I am about mechanical engineering

Is everybody seeing their Digiicampus attendance and panicking?

Man I came home and saw they've updated attendance 😭. If I don't do something and my attendance stays the same, am I screwed??. But the thing is they have not updated so many classes like they've conducted 10 classes but only updated 3 and because of my shitty luck I haven't attended last 3 so I have 0%. Please share your thoughts and experiences

Hello , I am getting EEE in UVCE , see I'm good at physics and maths I mean I scored well enough in JEE MAINS , Im basically very unsure that should I do EEE in UVCE or not.

Please tell me

  1. Is EEE manageable with 2 hour of efforts daily

  2. Can I change my branch (not completely dependent on it) , if yes how much CGPA in first year I need to get any of these branches(CSE , AIML ,ISE)

3.Are professors really bad

That's it , please do reply atleast for second point

I’m from the 28' batch (CSE) and so far only one company has come for our batch.

I had a couple of doubts

TPO rules

I’ve heard from some seniors that once we get into one company, we get blocked till next season. But I couldn’t find anything clearly mentioned on the TPO website or any official document.

Is this actually a rule?

Does it apply to internships as well or only placements or ppo?

Seniors from the 2027 batch also weren’t fully sure about TPO stuff. They got internship offers around July/Aug 2025, but the internship starts in May 2026.

Also, the company that has come for the 2028 batch has mentioned a joining date of June 2026, which adds to the confusion.

https://www.scribd.com/document/658059512/UVCE-TPOPortalOrientation-2023-1

I found this online. Even this isn't a detailed doc and was for 2024. It's just ppt We didn't even have any placement orientation yet.

Off campus paid internships

I’ve also been trying to explore off campus paid internships but not really sure how to approach it effectively. I have asked few seniors, but most got theirs through on campus or are also unsure themselves and are yet to get internships

Would be grateful to hear from seniors and grads if you had done off campus paid internships and how did you all find them.

Any strategies like referral?

I’m mainly looking to gain real world experience and improve my skills. Currently not focused on PPO.

And I had applied to that only company that had come for the 28' batch just to see how OA is conducted so that I can be better prepared for other companies. Its YC backed startup so had some credibility and the stipend was around 80k-1l and ppo of 20l. The CEO conducted some sessions and had kept a test for providing discount to his courses. Felt like more than recruiting, the company AlgoUniversity was focused more on promoting the course and came in the name of internship. Idk if they will even recruit someone.

The actual OA for the internship is on 4th may as per schedule.

TL;DR: Only one company has come for 2028 batch so far. Want clarity on TPO slab, blocking rules (especially for internships) and advice on off campus paid internships.
