How hard would it be to achieve such skin for someone new to the hobby?
Basically the question above! I've been thinking about making a swill-themed army, especially when seeing these minis. However, I'm a bit concerned that achieving such a paint job (especially skin, though the rest too) might be rather difficult. What do more experienced painters think?
And he is done! The General. My newest Lump
After finding a puffball that his subordinates were convinced looked like their recently deceased leader, General Bovista (it has his eyes and everything!) they hoisted it up onto an effigy and adorned it in tribute with their gallant General’s medals and now undersized hat. General Bovista now lives on, spreading his spores throughout Cist for all to see.
So yes, the Lump I posted last week based on some rulebook artwork is now done. Now you can see all the details of what I was shooting for and how I solved the hand problem by literally nailing some to the crossbeam. C&C welcome as always.
Mighty Toff Waldemar
When he was a child, his mother would force him to inhale the steam of boiled turnips whenever he had a swamp cold, and he blossomed into a dubious prophet of health - strong and handsome!
This parody of an aristocrat conversed from a lone poxwalker, a few Frostgrave сultists and wizards, a Wargames Atlantic Horse, and some epoxy putty.
Doo doo doooo. Come on and do the conga.
Any reason I can't use a diorama base and count down models on a dice? Very sure it's a thing but don't want to spend hours popping them off the base if I glue them.
Return to Turnip
Just dusted off my lovely T28 army that I never quite finished. I’m excited to dive back into the game and sink some time into completing these models I had spent so much time on.
New Brutes regiment incimming
Lead by a toady, a parliamentarian lord, the honoranle House Guard prepares for battle.
Part of my parliamantarian army of New Albion. Brutes for heavy duty work.
Presenting my Fungivorous Herd list, and i won with them!
Played my first game with a buddy today to get the scope of the game, He played beekeepers and I played Herd using my gnome age of sigmar list.
Bastards did some good pushes and the herd was unstoppable, lost the toffoff but won the game with the fodder proving invaluable.
Lots of fun, absolutely buzzing and now can't wait to rock out the morris list i've been showing off.
Definitely needed a bit of range though.
Only the paintjob is mine!

Don‘t normally post WIP pics as they are just a jumbled mess of parts in different colours, but I’m super chuffed with this one and how quickly I’ve knocked it up so I just had to show it off at the stage it’s currently at. This beastie is based on the thing on page 7 of the rulebook. C&C welcome as always. Still got a way to go on it though.
