From 2003 to around 2015, I watched TCM almost daily. It was by far my most-watched network, and I followed its programming religiously. But it seems like around that time it stopped being offered on anything but the most expensive of cable or TV streaming service like Sling or Hulu Live. We stopped getting it because it didn't make sense to pay such a high fee for what really amounted to just one network. Since then it seems like every network around has its own bespoke service to stream its content either live or on demand, but TCM remains locked within these exorbitantly proced media packages. What they do offer on demand via Max or on their website is a small portion of their overall programming. How can I watch live TCM programming without paying an arm and a leg for hundreds of other channels in never going to watch?

Anyone else notice this:

On HBO the TCM had categories broken down by decade. They recently got rid of the 1930s and 1920's and below category.

I find it to be a very odd decision. It feels like they aren't very familiar with TCM's audience.

TCM to play Gone with the Wind in honor of late founder, Ted Turner.

https://press.wbd.com/na/media-release/tcm-5/tcm-celebrates-life-founder-ted-turner-special-tribute-showing-gone-wind

It will play Sunday at 8:00 PM EST, directly preceded by his 2019 TCM Classic Film Festival tribute.

The 1939 film was the first film played by TCM (Turner Classic Movies) in 1994, and it will also be re-releasing in theaters across America for five days in October, the 10th to the 14th.

Rest in Peace Ted Turner (1938-2026).

The first "official" teaming of Stan Laurel and Oliver "Babe" Hardy. I love the "Marilyn Monroe" aspect of the kilt blowing up!

Paul Robeson Oscar winning documentary tomorrow

Strongly recommend watching this if you get a chance. Not only is Sidney Poitier’s narration flawless, but it’s a beautiful portrait of a very important American Renaissance man who has been erased from history. If any Americans achieved what he achieved in his lifetime. He was one of the giants of the 20th century. Hey baby.

This film is a favorite of mine and I can watch Gene Kelly dance all day. I know some prefer Fred Astaire but I always preferred Gene Kelly’s style.

What a wonderful film filled with joy and positivity.

What is your favorite dance of his?

Who is your favorite dancer?

Are there any other Zillennials (born from 1994 to 1999) on this sub? I'm wondering if there are others my age who love watching the Turner Classic Movies TV channel.

NOTE: 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, and 1999 are the most commonly used birth years on the r/Zillennials subreddit.
