Folks:
I am always tired of all the extra political signs, especially in the right-of-way near polling places. I drive by the Cofer Library at the corner of Lavista Road / Lawrenceville Hwy / Old Norcross Road daily. When polling first started there were a ton of signs. Two days later they were gone! Yea! The next day there were about four of five. I removed them. For the last few weeks, there have been none. On Monday, there were about 40 new ones, mostly from one candidate. This time I called Code Enforcement for the City of Tucker. This morning they were ALL gone! Great job City of Tucker!
By the way, if you have a large item for trash pick-up, you must send an email requesting said pick-up. Most items are free. Just go to:
https://dekalbcountyga.gov/departments/public-works/sanitation/bulky-items-and-special-collections
and fill out the forms with photos. I have done this with some of my own items, as well as a few large items of my neighbors that I have seen sitting at the curb for over a week.
Lastly, if you see a street light malfunctioning, typically the new ones blink, go to this site:
to report the outage. I am up to 29 reported and fixed street lights!
