T120 - 'normal' Vs Black

I'm eyeing up a triumph boneville t120 as my next bike.

I honestly can't decide between a 'normal' black coloured bonnie with the chrome, or the gray Bonneville black with the brown seat.

I'm leanjng normal with chrome as the boneville black does look very black. But in person they do look much nicer compared to the photos.

Which would be your preference and why?

Custom side cover project for my Triumph Scrambler — what do you think?

Hey guys 👋

I’ve been working on some custom side covers for my Triumph Scrambler, trying to get a clean café racer look with a number plate.

They’re 3D printed in ABS with an aluminum backing plate for strength, and designed to fit on stock mounting points (no modification needed).

Still experimenting with different designs and finishes — I’d really appreciate your feedback 👍

Has anyone looked into the free spirit high flo air filter kit?

I’m just curious if anyone who has it has noticed any performance difference. It’s a pretty hefty price but if it’s worth it I would consider it

Lowered my Street Twin 900

I chose an engineered solution and went with Nitron F&R suspension because I’m short and my shorter spouse likes to ride with me. Lowered it 1”.

This is not a cheap solution, but I like this bike and I don’t sell the bikes I own (also lowered my Monster 696).

The ride has improved significantly and I can flatfoot. The kickstand is a problem and I’m still looking for a solution.

British Customs Predator Pro 2 Exhaust

I just ordered the BC Predator Pro 2 slip on exhaust system for my T100. Does anyone have experience with it who can better explain the noise increase, and any issue with passengers where the muffler is close to the pegs?

New rider here! Bought my first bike off a friend this weekend…excited to work on it! Can I see anyone’s custom builds?

She’s an 05 and I got a killer deal. My husband was able to ride it all the way home but she definitely needs a new battery, carbs cleaned, and some various work. But learning to do al that is half the fun! Any lady riders in here? Also like the title says, would love to see some inspo for customizing. Thanks!

Do you tour with or without a windshield?

I have an old air cooled Bonnie. I do multi week tours around Europe.

Recently found out my Dart windshield is not actually legal in the EU for missing e-number. So I’m considering taking it off before my next trip.

Would love to hear any first hand experiences on long tours without windshields!

Oil sump removal T100

I have a 2006 bonneville t100 and I’m trying to remove a cracked oil sump. I removed all of the bolts and the oil filter and the sump is freed from the engine, but the frame is in the way keeping me from getting the sump out. There doesn’t seem to be enough clearance between the engine and the frame.

Has anyone else struggled with this? At this point I’m driving myself crazy wiggling, turning and tilting the sump in vain.

Next little upgrades - tank bag/fender

Two new addons to my Bonnie - sharing as I have not seen online pictures of similar set.

Puig extention front fender - I have to work like 2h ride on way. Without fender extension the whole engine looked terrible in wet/muddy weather conditions. Now, some of it has been eliminated.

Tank bag from Rhinowalk - I got through Amazon (paid like 90€ with some deal ). Arrived with factory production error - producer sent me another bag after like two weeks through Amazon. Now, finally on the bike. You connect it through straps only - yes, probably it will leave some marks after heavy long use.

Very good quality, tons of pockets. Have not tested myself the water bak during ride, but nice option.

To be able to fuel the bike you can take one buckle off and easy refuel.

Now, I have two option for the tank - the new bag or stylish metal rackI got from Temu.

Now, thinking of improving back and new potential carrier space, where considering:

- original back rack from Triumph

- Motone rack

- Givi rack

It would need to match with tail tidy, where I think of:

- BAAK setup with very small LED tail light, and little plate light - a bit more modern look

- Motone - with classic one red circle tail light on redesigned back fender

If you have any other recommendations, would be happy to hear your ideas or own mods.

When the time comes - already planned the front forks upgrade to ÖHLINS NIX22

09 t100 se idle issues

Hey all, I just replaced my r/r, stator, and put in a new battery, now I don't seem to have charghing system issues, but now my bike is having issues idling, when starting I have to have the choke out for longer than usual or bike will just stall out, and then after riding for 20 minutes when coming to a light with the clutch pulled in it just died, bike started right back up, any ideas what to look at? Basically it seems like the idle just randomly drops below 1k and then stalls out but starts and rides fine with choke pulled out

08 bonniville low gears

I recently replaced the CDI box and cleaned the carbs. I'm still getting misfires in low gears and jerking when I apply throttle. Any thoughts? Vacuum leak? Did they not properly clean and sync the carb? Should I just trade out and up to efi cause the mechanics around me suck?
