Question about the math placement.

Hello everyone, I’m a freshman who’s majoring in Mass Communication with a minor in political science and I just wanted to know if me doing bad on the math placement will lead to me not graduating on time??

I took the test and did HORRIBLE, scoring around about a 20.

Do you think a retest is in order or will I be fine?

Can I report this

I’m a senior CS student graduating this semester, and I honestly don’t know what to do at this point. I’ve been working on a huge semester-long Data Mining / Machine Learning group project entirely by myself because my assigned partner contributed absolutely nothing throughout the semester.
I worked on this project so much that it started affecting my attendance and performance in my other important classes.
I spent countless hours trying to keep everything together and make sure the project was completed properly, and now I’ve fallen behind in other coursework during one of the most important semesters of my degree.
To make matters worse, my partner doesn’t even want to participate in the presentation, meaning I’ll most likely have to present the entire project alone as well. I’m especially stressed because my professor usually doesn’t allow second attempts or make-up presentations, so I feel like there’s no room for error after carrying the full workload myself all semester.
I need a resolution to this. Can I report this ?

hii!!! I'm looking at towson for college, but I heard there was something in the library or student union that happened recently.

This may be kind of unusual for this sub but I keep hearing about fights at towson, specifically a fight or something that happened in the library or student union building recently. I don't really know but are fights really a common thing?? Just worried about that

cooked for towson nursing ?

Hi, like the title says, I currently have a 3.2 unweighted gpa right now going into my last semester of pre reqs. I am transferring to towson in the fall so I still need to take chem, stats, and nutrition. My gpa is not the best and ive been a B average student with all my other science classes, expect for microbio and A&P 1 which i got an A in . Im honestly really worried that my gpa wont be enough, do u think that as long as i get a good score on the TEAS I can still get in? Any help would be a great help, just hoping to make sure im not screwed in the future if I am not admitted. Thanks !

Hey everyone,

I pulled the official grade data for Towson so you can actually see how hard a professor grades before you pick your summer or fall classes. It shows the exact breakdown (how many people actually got A's, failed, etc.) for past semesters. It’s totally free and also has anonymous student reviews.

Check out the classes here: https://myclassgrades.com/school/towson

Let me know what you think!

Online classes at TU

I'm considering transferring to Towson this Fall to complete my Computer Science degree. Question: are there a lot of online and night classes offered that would allow me to complete my degree while still working full-time? I'm online at UMGC now but but seriously considering transferring for better networking opportunities. However, I don't want to lose the flexibility online offers.

Hello Towson community! It’s come to my attention that some of us may never have been taught proper elevator etiquette, so allow me to shed some light on the subject. When waiting to enter an elevator, it is typically seen as rude for those waiting for the elevator to stand directly in front of the elevator doors, thus blocking those trying to exit. Additionally, when those people trying to leave are then forced to push past you as you glare them down for needing to go where you have precisely placed yourself, have you considered a quick apology for being in the way?? “i’m sorry” or “excuse me” goes a LONG way. And if you don’t say excuse me or even take a step back to let me get off, enjoy being loudly told “Excuse YOU” while I’m forced to push my way through you. 🙄🙄

This is a comic attacking Jewish democrats along with two page of racist and insulting quotes from Trump and Co. attacking Obama, Ilhan Omar, Hakeem Jeffries and suggesting Nancy Pelsosi has a "bulletproof face". When I took this to the Jewish Federation of Baltimore (The Associated I was told they endorse politcal violence and antisemtism against Jewish Democrats because "that is the demographic we serve"

The Associated are not Jews. Jews practice Veahavta Lereacha Kamocha. These are Republicans and Israelis masking as Jews.

hi towson community! ill be moving to maryland from socal and attending towson to continue my academic career. i understand i have out of state tuition at the very least first semester but i wanted to ask here for advice/opinion/thought if you knew someone with this situation. is there a chance at ALL if i can prove by spring (6 months) im here permanently will they change my status? is towson/maryland harsh on the 12 month rule about living here for in state tuition? i understand the criteria needing to be met im just wondering how strict they are about the 12 month rule or if i can get by 6 months with enough proof. thank you!

Hello everyone, I am currently looking for a place to stay during the 2026-2027 semester. The goal is a 2-bed 2-bath apartment that is around the $2000 price point. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

i know this sounds stupid; i'm a senior in high school and it's pretty much what the title says. i've already been accepted to towson, but i'm a secondary caretaker for my mother who cannot be left on her own for more than a few hours, and recently she fired the worker who was keeping track of her. i basically had a two-week period where i had to take care of her and thusly miss school because no one else was available. is there a way to explain this when i send in my final reports and such or are they gonna think i'm some sort of chronic skipper? 🙁

Hello! I am a prospective student visiting campus next week. I have an in-person meeting in the afternoon on campus, and an online meeting I'm hoping to take right before it.

Are there any spaces on campus I could use a private room or find a quiet nook to do a Zoom call? I looked into the library, but they require towson email addresses to book, which I don't yet have...
