Hey! I own a record label and I’m taking a couple of my signed artists on tour this fall! I’m looking for some DIY venues in Toronto! I prefer the atmosphere of a basement/garage show much more than an established venue. Hope to get some answers here thanks!

Guitarists, bassists, drummers, singers, DJs, producers, background vocals, and experimental musicians.

Influence-wise think somewhere between:

live band hip-hop, emotional storytelling, heavy performance energy, and genre crossover music.

This isn’t just “let’s jam once.”

Guitarist looking for a drummer in Toronto into stuff like Kyuss, QOTSA (early work), Black Sabbath (Master of Reality), The Stooges (I Wanna Be Your Dog) type doom/garage/rock vibes.

Mostly interested in writing original, riff-heavy jams, noisy grooves, fuzz, atmospheric, etc.

Hey!! I’m a 21 y/o soprano singer and bass player in the east end looking to join an alternative band! I’d be fine with just singing if there were already a bass player as well. My favourite bands are Green Day, Bikini Kill, The Breeders, Garbage, and so much more! If anyone needs a singer or wants to start a band lmk!!

Anyone down to just talk about music I been looking for subreddits that itch that craving to wanna talk about music and just the feeling of songs and shit lol,

I’m into like Shoegaze, Grunge, Nu metal, even some old stuff like honestly I love melodies and the sadder side of rock music. I also mess around with vocals but yeah lol

Going to see them at rivoli tonight, not sure if anyone else is coming through. Had a friend coming but now they've got a last minute emergency. Would be nice to meet some new music friends especially in the scene!

I travel from outside T.O regularly for shows but I cant seem to find a reliable easy way from Union Station to Lee's Palace especially late at night (return trip). I mainly take the GoTrain into downtown. So other times I'm forced to drive 2+ hrs just bc its cheaper than hiring an Uber for big distances at night. Or potentially looking at renting a cheap hotel room nearby if thats more affordable. Any suggestions or point in the right direction is greatly appreciated

Toronto (GTA) My Indie Rock/Pop Band is Looking for a Committed Singer/Songwriter (Ages 20-25). We are dedicated musicians who have individually been in the local music scene for a few years now and we are looking for a capable, and committed singer/songwriter that would like to be our lead.

-Our goal is to create a catchy/melancholic/ indie rock, with a melodic Pop/indie format. Some bands that we really love the sound of are: Fontaines DC, Oasis, Peach Pit, Cage The Elephant, The Night Cafe, Catfish & The Bottlemen, Blur, & More!

We’re looking for a male vocalist, based on some of the covers and basic song ideas we already have. We are 3 guys, and are very friendly, and accepting! We’d appreciate interest from anybody, however, based on our schedules and interests, we would generally prefer somebody within our age range (20-25)
