With all the recent RD drama, I think TorBox has a pretty big opportunity right now.

Real-Debrid has already purged a ton of cached stuff and tightened anti piracy measures. If a wave of RD refugees is about to land here, it might actually be worth TorBox experimenting with a temporary bump in baseline cache retention. Even something like 45 to 60 days for a few months would:

1. Give new users more time to "discover" existing caches instead of constantly re-seeding torrents.

2. Help stabilize and grow the shared cache, since more people will be hitting the same files in that window.

3. Make TorBox stand out as a friendlier alternative while RD is busy tightening screws.

I get that storage is not free and TorBox needs to avoid abuse, but even a limited time or tier based cache extension (or just doing it quietly behind the scenes for popular content) could pay off in user growth and a stronger cache network long term.

Curious what other redditors of this sub and the devs think. Does a short term cache extension sound realistic, or are the storage and abuse costs just not worth it?

I need an app similar to Stremio, it should work on PC and iPhone. I have a Torbox essential debrid subscription. Do you have any recs?

Or is it possible that I can make my own system working like Stremio? Idk I’m new to that world help please

I just bought an rd 6 month subscription and yesterday it stopped working lol will the same thing happen with torbox because I heard they are based in Africa and DMCA laws aren't like france's

with the latest crackdown Real Debrid has had on movies im thinking of switching to TorBox. Wondering how other past Real Debrid users have found the TorBox experience and how it compares.

(im planning on incorporating TorBox with Jellyfin + Zurg + Radarr + Sonarr + Prowlarr + Bazarr + Jellyseerr for context if anyone has experience with simmilar)

I went through the plan list but i am unable to see which plan closely resembles RD

The 3 dollar plan caps maximum limit to 200gb which seems a bit less given how remuxes themselves are 70 gigs each

Just wanted to understand which TB plan closely resembles RD plan

Sry if this isnt the place...but, i'm kinda noob to these stuff and been using RD for 2 years now...but, as some you guys are aware, shit hit the fan recently.

Hi everybody. I’m moving to TorBox (or keeping both I should say) from RD. I use Syncler and I believe that should cause no issues. I’m curious on a couple of things and was hoping someone could help out. I’m not a power user by any means, and only used RD for Syncler to watch shows and movies (and anime if they have it).

How does the 3 connection limit work? Would be nice to not have to worry about connections when either myself or my partner are traveling. (Maybe not TorBox related, but anyone know of any iOS or Mac ways to search shows / movies and add to TorBox + Infuse for downloading and watching on device?)

How does the 200 Gb limit work? Is that streaming a total of 200 Gb of files within Syncler (or other player)? Does downloading a file for offline viewing count towards that limit? This is my main concern if the 200 Gb is a hard limit for all uses.

If I’ve already made an account (still free account), can I still use someone’s referral code / link? Not the sub for this, I know, but just asking and I’ll find the code / link later.

I'm a long time RD user that has been eyeing TB and was planning on subscribing next time RD had a hiccup. Some of the integrations TB offers increases the functionality of some apps in development and allowing multiple IP connections were what attracted me. Well the time has come where RD is having trouble again, but I see TB seems to have been struggling for weeks now as well? RD is struggling with legal issues but I can still access content (for now anyway), TB seems to be going offline entirely and regularly? Is TB worth the bother right now or should I just save my money?

Edit: I'll be using the referral code of the developer of an app I've been using. Easy way to give back to him, and it makes sense since he's the primary driver of my interest in TB.

If i do not want to buy anything else separately, and want to make use of torbox pro.. what would you suggest? I see very less usenet results in torbox add-on.

EDIT: I'm going to leave this because it maybe useful to others but literally closing stremio and reopening it after adding Torbox to AIOstreams and Torrentio fixed it haha.

I added my Torbox api key to Torrentio and added the addon to my stremio. However it's just stuck loading infinitely.

My account says I have a plan paid for but no active subscriptions which is confusing me as well.

I have trust issues but I use crypto and used to use disposable card before they banned it for safety issues am I just paranoid ?

Before the RD issues there was a lot of people complaining about TB because they had a brief outage. People were upset, apparently leaving for RD and never looking back.

Now the opposite is occurring with everyone singing the praises of TB.

No service is perfect but I think TB is the best of the best so I sit here with a little grin on my face thinking of all the haters that ran to RD. Wonder if they're back on TB?

I cannot download anything. I am currently in Spain, started suffering from buffering issues, now it is not loading at all.

Currently have a subscription in checkout however I’m only being given the option to pay with credit card, despite clicking on the Amazon pay button.

Signed up yesterday for Torbox and got the 24 hr free Pro account. Today went to pay for a subscription and everytime i click on credit card it brings me back to the subscription page and say "You are not permitted to pay".. I have RD but with them down in Streamio I decided to add Torbox. When i looked it up on Torbox help i get this "If you get an error saying "You are not permitted to pay.", this usually means you are blocked from making payments entirely and you will not be able to subscribe." Craxy! In U.S. on Chrome no reason my IP should be flagged not even getting to putting in CC so has nothing to do with that.. Any suggestions?

Update: Paying through mobile worked. Thanks for the recommendations..
