Striped down to bare frame and swapped pretty much everything except the stem. 9.5kg->8kg. I’m not a bike mechanic and it was my first bike build from scratch

Upgrades for Topstone alloy

One year since I bought this bike used. Not sure but I believe is a 2023 model. I’ve been having lots of fun with it. I’ve been wondering if it’s worth upgrading this model, maybe swapping the Sora for a Grx and carbon wheels. I leave in Brazil so the price of some upgrades can rapidly stack up to more than half of a new bike. I’ve changed some basic stuff like the saddle, handlebars, stem, crankset (it broke today).

So has anyone here fully upgraded a bike like this ?

I need to replace tyres on my Topstone - I have been using Tufo thundero 40mm and I am wondering if I can squeeze something wider. Anyone running 45mm or what is the max that still works.

I have DT Swiss G 1800 wheels on it.
