TISAS SS45R Carry

Well it finally happened after about 700 rounds the gun decided to run away on me lol. I was aware that this gun may break after seen previous posts it was just a matter of when it would snap. I'm safe and I'll be reaching out to Tisas regarding this matter. If you have this model be cautious.

Would I be able to mount a rmrcc to my optic ready raider?

I’m building up a m45a1 clone and have lots of para coming in. I do not want to put on an eps as it just would not look right. I see that Trijicon has an adapter plate for rmsc to rmrcc. Do any of yall know if it would work? Thanks for the help in advance.

Tisas Raider trigger.

Picked up a Tisas Raider on sale for 440. Saw it in store and felt like it was too good to pass up. Anyway has anyone run these and if so have you guys found a short trigger that works in this? The stock trigger is just a bit long and before I go shaving it down with a dremmel I figured id see if their was a less Neanderthal way to go about it.

Tisas Raider build*

Tisas Raider .45 ACP. Shout-out to the person who told me Aluma-Hyde II in Magpul FDE was a color match - it is!

*The build (not just a flashlight and optic):

Pachmayr wrap around grip.

Tisas arched mainspring housing painted to match, drop in fit.

Ed Brown extended magazine release, stainless steel, painted to match.

Harbor Freight WML Gen 2? (no silver stripe but not knurled or ribbed) painted to match. Upgraded with Emissary Development paddle shifter.

Wolff spring kit part #GM-453

I need to hit the mainspring housing with another coat of Aluma-Hyde. I baked it and let it cure so hopefully no durability issues but using a can after the first time is a PIA. I was delayed waiting for replacement spray nozzles to come back in stock.

With the Pachmayrs installed the safety feels a bit undersized. I might revisit the safety.

I haven't done a full spring kit in any of my Tisas' yet. Holy cow the difference between the factory plunger tube spring and the Wolff replacement! The trigger on the pistol was ~awesome~ out of the box. I was hesitant to swap the sear spring. The factory sear spring is much thinner compared to a Wolff or an Ed Brown so I swapped and tuned it and got it pretty close to the original feel.

I was interested in MUESOC vibes when I stumbled on a deal on the Raider. I guess I'll have to make-due with 1945A1 vibes, lol

Finally got my PX-9 Duty Conp

Excited for Todd one. I finally got my PX-9 Duty Comp. Heard the rave about this firearm and had to experience it first hand. Going to shoot it on Monday.

B9r gen1 with an alpha foxtrot aluminum grip

Waiting on a gen1 Idpa mag release. Thinking of replacing the grip safety to make it flush with the grip.

So I've had this for a couple months, give or take, and I'm very impressed for the price. About $450 after transfer fee (big shout-out to Kygunco). It shoots very soft and smooth, great trigger (not Canik great, but very nice), and is extremely comfortable in hand.

I decided on the Tactical because I wanted a full sized pistol as I have enough compacts and I didn't really need another carry gun (I would probably just get the BG 2.0 if that was my intent). I threw the 2nd Gen Braun light on there and pulled the trigger on the Zulisy optic a few days ago.

Put a couple hundred rounds on it after the optic was installed and I'm quite happy with it. Will it hold up? Time will tell.

1st pic, large backstrap and side plates. 2nd pic, stock backstrap and side plates. 3rd pic cat tax. They were not as impressed.

This Raptor Comp performs & feels WELL ABOVE its price tag. Insanely soft and flat shot. Not a single failure tonight at the range. The trigger is the star of the show. The chunk port is NOT a gimmick, it is extremely effective. For the price, this firearm is very well worth it. To me, it feels like if the Springfield XDM and VP9 had a baby, it'd be the Raptor Comp. If you're on the fence about it, get one. It's a no-brainer.

PX-9 custom grips arrived

Ordered two pairs of custom grips from Lone Star Grips, I prefer the slim profile as the one with the star is a bit awkward on your finger tips.

I'm excited to get this out to the range. I bought a bunch of 124 grain because that's what usually runs fine in comped guns. Anyone have any issues with 115 grain? Suggestions for holster?

I picked up a used Tisas Duty at a local gun store as my first 1911. I'm a Glock guy and Im comfortable with modifying/finishing parts, so I bought this gun cheap with the intention of changing out parts/springs as I got more familiar with the platform.

I measured the trigger pull and it's a crisp 3.5 pounds. Is that normal?

I orderd a Wilson Combat spring kit 'just because' so I'll see if there's a big difference, but if not I may just run the stock springs.

I'm definitely going to replace the stock sights. OEM kind of suck, so I'm probably going to go with night sights (maybe adjustable rear). I'm not a fan of fiber optic.

Happy with the Tisas so far, and surprised at the trigger.

Fellas with the Cerebus, how many rounds are you shooting before having to take it off to clean? Thanks
