I'm not trying to be negative but I'm not a fan of how the fandom designs the members. I don't like the half human animal hybrids, I much prefer Minecraft skin accurate designs. This especially applies to Grian because I find the bird hybrid design unattractive and not properly representative of his character.

This has made me feel alienated when I consume fan art, animatics, and cosplays. This also has made me realize that my perception of the Life Series is different from that of the fandom.

I usually like more video accurate depictions of the members so attempts to reinterpret them can rub me the wrong way. I tend to dislike the more realistic and detailed depictions because I see the Life Series as more goofy and inherently set in Minecraft. Because of this I try to ignore these feelings when consuming fan media.

I'm not hating on these fan works or wanting things to change because that's a very selfish thing for me to do as I see lots of passion and talent put into these fan works. I think they're great; it's just that they're not my cup of tea.

I tried posting about this multiple times but for some reason they didn't get any attention. I just want to know if anyone can relate to how I feel and your thoughts about this.

For me , most of the minecraft youtubers I still watch were introduced to me from third life , like solidarity, smallishbeans, InTheLittleWood, Smajor etc..

By this I mean a hybrid that's so rare you barely ever see it. If you want to you can say why you like it and/or why that hybrid fits that specific lifer. (eg. Grian being a cod because it fits his Minecraft skin)

At this year's gfg we were only missing bigb, mumbo, etho and lizzie. All the other life series members were present for the event. Since not all the hermits enjoyed MCC (tango), i think it would be fun if instead at next year's charity event, they did life series irl.

I could imagine someone not participating as a player placing various lootboxes all over the mojang offices, containing nerf guns and darts, and an occasional card saying "oops you lost a life" or "you are the boogeyman"

I'd hazard a guess that grian has considered it, but decided against it because he wants scar to play, but he would be at an obvious disadvantage.

Still tho, would be fun.

I saw from a video that the Unstable SMP (by Skyboimc) has an IMDb page, and I thought, "Huh... Now does Life Series have one???" And LO AND BEHOLD WE HAVE!

(Cross posting cause I just found out that there are two Life Series subreddits)

I first got into the life series because Pearl was recommended to me. I've watched all her content and I love it, followed by Grian's (which I also love) and I've been watching some of Scar's (not always in the mood, but again, love).

I'd love to see some more, but I don't know where to start, as I've tried some and I don't really vibe with content from Gem or Jimmy.

Does anyone have a lifer they'd recommend?
