Hear me out: Jaipur/Udaipur, India would be the PERFECT setting for White Lotus Season 5 😭

I genuinely think India, especially Jaipur and Udaipur, would be the PERFECT setting for a future season of The White Lotus.

Just imagine this:

• A massive U.S. destination wedding inside a royal palace hotel in Udaipur slowly collapsing over one week

• A dead body discovered floating near Lake Pichola on the very first episode

• Rich American tourists desperately trying to “find spirituality” while completely misunderstanding Indian culture

• Old royal families pretending everything is elegant and sophisticated while secretly drowning in debt, resentment, and family politics

• Giant candlelit palace dinners where everyone quietly hates each other behind fake smiles

• Palace staff silently observing the chaos of ultra rich guests, while jealousy, anger, and class tension slowly build underneath

• A monkey stealing a guest’s million dollar jewelry from a palace balcony and creating complete madness

• Wellness influencers treating Jaipur like an “aesthetic spiritual retreat” while their relationships fall apart

• Luxury hiding emotional breakdowns, affairs, betrayal, inheritance fights, and obsession with status

• A mysterious guest who nobody fully understands until the investigation begins after the murder

• Traditional music, lake views, palace corridors, rooftop dinners, royal processions, and this constant feeling that something terrible is about to happen

Honestly, India has EVERYTHING this show thrives on: beauty, wealth, spirituality, tension, tourism, class divide, family pressure, performance, and chaos.

Visually, this could easily become the most stunning season of the entire show.

I need a season in Latin America

So far I'd have: Gael Garcia Bernal, Roberta Colindrez (a bit of an unknown but was amazing in the show Vida and acted in some episodes of Girls), and Penelope Cruz.

So many people dislike Portia, but how can anyone blame a girl for not liking a self proclaimed “nice guy”. I found this line hilarious and telling. Following the motions with a guy like this can be soul destroying. It’s fantastic writing, because I think Adam DiMarco is fiiiine.

Albie is the free breakfast. He’s just there offering unproblematic romance, but somehow manages to be too many empty calories.

I SPOILED MYSELF!??

I JUST OPENED HBO AND REALIZED IM ON S3 E8..

I skipped the first 2 freakin seasons. I didn’t realize I was watching season 3! I just saw the show, and clicked play! So I ask, do I HAVE to watch season 1 and 2 before I watch the last episode of season 3? Or are they different?!

Before I start, yes Tanya is crazy and emotionally unstable and a horrible boss. But portia job is acting more like her grand daughter than anything else. She travels, probably makes great money. Tanya is easily distracted by others so she is free most of the time. So free in fact she was able to make 2 romantic connections within a week, go out even though it was interrupted all she had to do was comfort her. Tanya didn’t even ask her to find the psychic which shows all she’s actually wants from her is emotional support and companionship more than anything. She gets to stay and go to all these lavish places, countries, eat whatever she wants every single day which I’m guessing is paid for . Do all the activities Tanya does if she wants. Has her own room. I would personally make the most of it rather than being miserable constantly. It’s not like Tanya is giving her impossible tasks or she’s doing back breaking work. Yes it’s probably emotionally exhausting but most jobs are. All I know is I’ll rather be depressed in a mansion than be depressed in a cardboard box. She’s a glass half empty type of person and would probably be miserable in any job with that attitude

Edit:
I’m not saying I don’t appreciate the depth of her as a character, it makes it more interesting to watch. But if she was a real person I would dislike her negative outlook

Thoughts on Macaulay Culkin in a WL season?

It just makes so much sense to me. The more I think about it, the more I can see him shining.

Also fun cameos like I would love to see Alexa Chung for some reason.

If you could choose Season 5’s location, which country would it be?

Also, if you’re feeling up to it, give us five actors you‘d want to see appear in it (excluding recurring characters).

What is Victoria Ratliff's accent (mom in S3) ?

Dumb question, I just binged the entire series in 3 days because I was obsessed, but during S3 I kept wondering what accent is Parker Posey doing? Is it an accent from some place where they are from (USA I think?) or is it just a snob accent not really linked to a particular region?

Season 2 of ‘Beef’ is giving White Lotus… anyone else?

Season 2 of Netflix’s ‘Beef’ feels a lot like White Lotus… anyone else notice this?

I didn’t get this from season 1 of Beef.
