Abandoned railroad, now slowly decaying

This railroad was built to serve nearby mines and factories to transport there cargo and other essentials, shut down because trucks started to be more efficent ontop of the industry starting to vanish and eventually shut down and be demolished. Now the rail road is pretty much everything still left from that time and it is also slowly going away. Feels very apocalyptic walking the old tracks due to the shear amount of overgrowth.

The Silver Mine Hidden Under A Waterfall Video

I posted a few photos of this a few months back, and a few of you were keen to see the full adventure! Here it is

https://youtu.be/YutksEwFI5s?si=enUqsvzAMw-J-LVS

This was a silver producer that ceased operation in the 1930s. The adit drives into the base of an incredibly stunning 80 metre waterfall. I think looking at the maps and surveying underground, it was abandoned due to an error in sinking the shaft that led directly to the plant. The shaft got to within 25 metres af the main drive on the deposit. They either missed it or abandoned linking the workings to the shaft or abandoned their progress due to the terrible ground. The ground where the shaft was planned to intercept the main adit hit a grey clay. Its extremely unstable ground as you will see if you watch the video.
