Forever a Sledgehammer Main.. always...

Predicting enemy movement and future positioning is so satisfying.

Not directly The Finals related. But this is huge for me as a casual player. Only across 3 games though so far.

As light in Point Break, I started going nuts after lowering my sensitivity. I won't say my exact settings because yours could be different. If your aim is *okay* but you sometimes miss too much, this could be the answer.

This obviously won't fix positioning which can get you wrecked more times than not. I achieved this on a faux carbon fiber desk with no mat.

I can't get good at this game....

I play the finals since it's in early access, and I dont know what to do. I play every time I get on my PC, unfortunately it's not every day because I have school but I'm still able to play at least 3 days per week.

I do everything I see on videos about positioning, game sense... every new season I make 2 loadouts, one that I create, and the other from some yt video saying it the new meta. But I still suck.

On a good day I get 5 kills on qc. I train for 30 mins either on training range or on aimlabs (which takes most of my time to) and i get 80% of the shots, But in game im lucky if I get 3 shots consecutive.

This is the only game where this has happened to me, on cs I could easily see a huge progress from just one year ago, something for COD, apex and others.

Wtf can I do to get better?

No the scales of fortune is NOT guarenteed. Here's where the math went wrong.

So as with *every single time* they reintroduce gambling to the game there is a ton of discussion around the scales of fortune event. One of the ideas I've seen floating around is that it is guaranteed if you play every day except 1. (Which I might add still hasn't made people happy, because even participation trophies aren't enough now ig)

Look, I get it, you see cool pixels, you want cool pixels for your little bit of Funtime in between your awful boring drudgery.100% understand the sentiment. But you can't say that rewarding players for actually being online regularly in a free to play game is not perfectly reasonable. I know we don't tend to take a company's perspective when looking at these things, but I genuinely think they could be giving freebies out left and right (they almost do already in fact) and people would still be complaining when they do even the slightest bit of money grubbing.

The to shill or not to shill debate is ridiculous. Yes they want your money. The game is free. There is no pay to win. It's all cosmetic. The cosmetics are cool and it's some of the best customization of any game *ever*. It is what it is, and it is not what it is not.

Back on the topic of what it is not. It is *not* guaranteed for you to get every item in the scales of fortune, and I think the reason why people's math was off (because I got the same answer off of running this outlier) is because the assumption was that the absolute extreme was hitting the same item dupe for every single one of your spins. This results in a 39 normal spin complete (1 new [n], 19 ticket conversions [c], and 19 golden tickets [g]) if you recognize that only *g* and *n* grant you a new item, there is a very high potential for most of your spins to be wasted on *c*.

So imagine for example you oscillate between making all possible golden ticket slots, and landing on a golden ticket. For complete *n*+*g*>20

S¹=n, n+g=1

S²=c, n+g=1

S³=g, n+g=2

S⁴=c, n+g=2

S⁵=c, n+g=2

S⁶=g, n+g=3

These first 6 spins establish the foundation for an infinite loop of only getting 1 prize/3 spins, we have 3 prizes by the time this loop is established leaving 17 prizes left to be won, and 36 spins remaining in the event. Leaving the floor guarantee at 15 of 20 prizes. This is because every *g* spin actually makes two c spins possible before guaranteeing a prize.

So what does this mean for golden tickets?

*Don't spend them as you get them*

If you do, you allow the potential for this loop to be integrated into your spin cycle. While you will get more "duds" where you earn nothing, banking your golden tickets prevents there from being a larger number of duplicate slots for the loop to take hold, technically increasing your odds. Your best case scenario will always be banking your golden tickets and counting them towards your progress on the wheel until your won prizes + your banked tickets = 20. This is *still* not a guarantee, but it raises the floor to 18 or 19 prizes at the unluckiest. This is significantly better than the example above where you still have 5 prizes left after using *all* of your goldens immediately after getting them.

I hope this was helpful, sorry for the rant in the middle about consumerism and corporate greed. Here is obligatory potato 🥔
