Thinking of putting up a highway hoarding on my land for passive income , where do I start?

I have a piece of land near the newly expanding NH66 with really good visibility from the road. I’m considering putting up a large hoarding there and renting it out for some passive income.

I’m completely new to this space and would really appreciate guidance from anyone with experience.

1.Do I need approvals from Municipality / NHAI to install a commercial hoarding? What clearances are typically required?

2.Any good hoarding or outdoor advertising agencies in the Malabar / Kannur region who handle everything end-to-end?

  1. Who usually builds the structure (steel frame) the landowner or the agency? How does this arrangement typically work?

4.How much monthly rent can one realistically expect from a highway-facing hoarding in Kerala?

  1. What kind of agreement duration is standard (3 yrs / 5 yrs / longer)?

  2. Any hidden issues, risks, or important factors I should know before getting into this (legal, safety, contracts, maintenance, etc.)?

Thanks in advance

Any less crowded evening spot for Family

Since this is vacation time, mom's side family is planning a weekend together. Includes kids, adults and senior citizens. So thought of spending some time with family on Sunday evening. Since Kadalpalam, thuruth, muzhapilangad beach etc are too crowded on sunday evening is there any less crowded quiet place around thalassery?

Trying to find this man from an old Kerala family photo (Malabar, supply business)

Hey Reddit, this might be a long shot, but I’m hoping the internet can help me find him.

I came across this old photograph in a friend’s family album(she’s from Chengannur). The man in the center (striped shirt) was once very close to their family. From what I’ve heard, he wasn’t just an acquaintance — he was someone who shared a genuine bond with them during that time when her grandparents were in Malabar ( they did setup an hotel near famous Kottiyoor temple and he and his brother was associated with it)

There’s something about him that really stood out to me just sparked a quiet curiosity. It made me wonder what his life has been like since then, where he is now, and how he’s doing.

What I know so far:

He’s from the Malabar region

He was involved in some kind of export/supply-related work

This photo is quite old, so he’d likely be much older now

Both the original photo and an AI-coloured version have been uploaded for better clarity.

This post is coming purely from a place of respect and curiosity. If anyone happens to recognize him or has any information, I’d just love to know how life turned out for him — and to pass that along to the family who once knew him and still remember him fondly.

He feels like one of those people you randomly come across in life… and then somehow never meet or find again.

P.S. He oddly reminds me of the song “Pathinezhinte Poonkaralil.”

Thanks for taking the time to read 🤍

Update: Kadalpaalam Cleanup

So I posted a thread here a week back, a thought about Thalassery Kadalpalam cleanup.

Got a lot of responses for it, but today was not a suitable day for most of the people, and I just had today left here since I was going back to Trivandrum today.

I, along with one of my cousin and my dad went there today morning, and made an attempt to clean a part of the area.

Attaching the before and after photos here. Still a lot's remaining, and I would love it if everyone can come together and clean this whole thing up
