I had two expedite request denied and congressman inquiry also denied btw. Lost two jobs as of March 29, 2026 due to the delay. I will be able to return to one as soon as I receive it. May this storm come to an end with a rainbow at the end for you all as well. 🫶

EXP: 12/07 asking for a recommendation

Hello, Ive been reading a-lot of articles telling me to submit my renewal application on 6/10, exactly 180 days before expiration,

Ive been seeing a-lot of reports online of many applications taking longer than 180 days and I’ve grown a bit worried as I am fond of my current career path at my current employer

Would it be a waste of time and assets submitting my application earlier than 180 before expiration? Iv’e seen other posts telling me that they won’t even look at it till the 180 day window opens or that ill run the risk of my application getting buried

Thank you for your time

RENEWAL AND SCHOOL

Hi guys! My permit expires August 4 and I renewed my permit in March and went to my biometrics in April. I’m currently still in uni and get Texas grant and wondering how this could affect my grants if my permit doesn’t arrive on time. The semester starts August 17. Has anyone encountered the same type of problem maybe during the spring semester?? What did y’all do?

Leaving Texas

With DACA coming to an end in Texas sooner or later, I’m wanting to seriously consider moving to another state. If it’s going to happen eventually, I might as well prepare as much as I can worse case scenario. I just wanted to see if any DACA recipients had any recommendations of what state would be a good place to move to or if they are in the same situation, what are you doing rn with everything going on. I’m in my early 20s, I make a decent amount so I can save up, I don’t have any dependents, I want to eventually go back to school so some place I could qualify for financial aid. I’m eyeing Washington the most, but who knows I haven’t researched enough, just a nice thought. I just wanted to hear first hand real people experiences.

DACA & TDLR

I’ve been seeing posts saying that DACA recipients can no longer get a TDLR card. But wouldn’t that only apply to immigrants who use an ITIN instead of a Social Security number? I’m asking because I’ve been wanting to get mine so I can work as an electrician. I’m thinking about leaving the state but I need the money to be able to do that.

Does anyone on here currently work in the oilfield? Specifically out west like by Odessa? I am curious because I’ve thought about working out there. But with everything going within the state I am hesitant to. I appreciate any feedback!

Cornyn slams Paxton over sex offender's 'sweetheart deal' in Texas US Senate race

“A child was sexually abused for three years, and Ken Paxton thinks that should be a misdemeanor with no jail time and no requirement to register as a sex offender." Crooked Ken Paxton took a horrific first degree felony case and reduced it down to two class A misdemeanors. This is the man who fought so hard to remove the DACA program from Texas residents and now seeks to be a member of the Senate. Tell your friends to vote for Senator John Cornyn (R-TX) who will then face James Dell Talarico (D-TX). https://www.gosanangelo.com/story/news/politics/elections/2026/04/20/cornyn-blasts-paxton-over-cushy-deal-for-sex-offender-in-texas-us-senate-race/89701941007/

Hi all, I'm currently working on Dacabase, a site for DACA recipients to find resources. If you’ve recently submitted or completed a renewal, you may know that processing times are much longer than expected. I created a tool to allow us to anonymously share our renewal timelines. Please add your timeline so others can better understand current processing patterns. I'm going to to be adding resources and webpages as needed by our community.
I would really appreciate any feedback and suggestions to improve the site around what the community actually needs.
