Public health major - wanting to be pre med again HELP...

Hey guys pretty much the title, I was a health professions major last semester but switched into public health because of the anxiety I was having over some of the classes (physics) but now after doing the major for a while, the stuff is interesting but I am thinking to do the pre med requirements on the side since after exploring, I don't think I see myself doing anything else BESIDES medicine.

I dont think I will switch again to health profession because everyone looks very miserable just trying to get through the requirements alone, I still want to learn things that interest me while doing the medical stuff on the slide i just didn't want it to be my whole identity. I am unsure of what to do because I can only fit in a few pre med classes and the rest I would have to take after I graduate or during the summer. I was thinking about maybe doing an MPH and then go back and doing the pre med classes at a cc but I feel like it would take longer. All thoughts would be helpful ty.

rutgers new brunswick v temple

hi!! i'm already committed to temple but i just got off the waitlist for rutgers nb and i dont know where i should go, for context im a business major and plan to go to law school!

my pros for temple are that:
- #1 major (business law) + im in the business school (good for backup)
- i like the city
- new experience
- campus life (dorms, bathrooms, food)
- i already have a roommate + social life is good
- easy to study abroad
- all my college credits transfer
- perfect distance from home (1hr)
- campus is pretty & walkable

my cons for temple are that:
- saftey (is it that bad being in north philly?)
- ranking (not top 100)
- family prefers rutgers

my pros for rutgers are that:
- ranking (40)
- more known academics
- slightly cheaper (in-state)
- family wants me here

my cons for rutgers are that:
- not the major i want (in the environmental and bio science school) as an environmental and business econ major
- i'd need to transfer to another school to get a good major (either sas or rbs)
- bad campus life (dorms, bathrooms, food)
- not the best social life
- too close for my liking (not necessarily a con)
- bus system is bad
- none of my college credits transfer

Graduation Question

Has anyone gotten into a grad ceremony without tickets? I am trying to get my friends to come to my grad and well this wasn't planned out and kind of last minute so I was just wondering about anyone else's experience about going to a grad w/o a ticket + I don't wanna be asking anyone for extra grad tix, so just curious.

Why Temple?

Hello everybody, I hope everybody is having a good day or night. As someone that’s thinking of going to this school? What are your reasons as to why you chose to go to school here. Do/did you regret it, if so why? If not, what are some memories and moments that made you stay and enjoy it ?

Found: keychain w car key, etc.

Give me identifying info about the keychain and I will find a way to get it back to you.

If no one responds by the end of semester, I’ll drop it somewhere, maybe the student union building front desk unless there’s an official Lost and Found

For Those Wondering How Long Your Graduation Ceremony Might Be...

Your best bet always is to look up last year's livestream on YouTube. That should at least put you in the ballpark.

Looking for San Jose State University students who work out!

I recently built a free workout tracking app called Fortis: Workout Log & Tracker (iOS and Android) and looking for lifters at San Jose State University to check it out. Think Strava, but for the gym. Custom exercises, templates, progress sharing — nothing crazy, just a clean tool to stay consistent. Still early on but improving fast. Would love any feedback if you give it a shot 😁

Temple Or Rutgers? Help Me Choose!

Hi! I’m deciding between Temple and Rutgers NB and could really use some advice.

I’m in-state for Rutgers and out-of-state for Temple. I plan to major in sports media/media production. Temple offers a sports media major, but Rutgers doesn’t have that specific program.

I like city vibes, which is a big reason I’m considering Temple. I’ve visited both campuses and liked them. Rutgers has a lot of food options, and College Ave is really nice. I also like the atmosphere at Rutgers sports games. However, I’ve heard the bus system there can be hectic, which worries me.

If you’ve studied media at either school, how is it? How easy is it to get hands-on experience and start working with sports teams?

Also, if you go to Temple, is it hard for freshmen to get into Morgan Hall?

And activities to do around campus.

Any info about either school would really help, thanks!

Feel like a literal ghost walking around on campus...

Does/did anyone else feel this way? Figured temple having a large % of commuter students made it a common phenomenon. From outta state transferring from CC & moved into GMA's in West Philly last spring. Met/made a good friend the first week. However he graduated that semester.. Eversince have had 0 luck. From clubs joined to folks Ive approached & chatted with. Atp sitting all year just sitting & watching a packed campus of girls walking & guys laughing in groups kills you inside. Not tryna come off "sad-fishing" just needed to vent this Saturday night.

Exhausted.

I know that this isn’t the right sub to really say these things.

I fear I’m at my wits end. I’m just so tired. This constant cycle of stagnancy, auto piloting on through the days, *just here*.

I won’t even say I’ve given up, more so just defeated. It’s been a while since I’ve looked forward towards something, a drive to give life that little push, to just hold on a little more. I don’t feel anything anymore, just numb.

Maybe in another life things would’ve worked out differently. I’m just so tired man😕

And yes I’m “doing everything right”. Weekly therapist appointments and daily medication and I’ve done this for a while now, even tried to gaslight myself into thinking I’m finally getting better, but alas. I guess I’ll keep going, I don’t plan on doing anything as the thought of my roommates finding me stops me.
