Update for turbos post
This happened about 3 cold starts, and then hasn’t anymore cold starts but does a little bit after I drive to work in the morning and then start it again after about 2 hours.

My girlfriend had a 2013 SHO, dark blue, premium package, the car itself has 150,000 miles on it, the engine blew at 130,000. Ford installed a factory engine in it with warranty and all from the dealer. It recently was totaled in an accident. Insurance is offering her $7,000 as the value and isn’t budging , that seems insanely low and unreasonable, am I wrong?
I’m 17 about to go look at a 2011 sho Taurus with 145k miles on it. I talked with a mechanic and he recommended one and said even at the 150k they still run fine. Is there anything I should look out for happening with the car because like I said I’m 17 I don’t have unlimited money to put into it. The seller did inform me that the 02 sensor will need to be replaced but I know a guy and that shouldn’t be too much money.
My turbos seals or bearings may be going out, only smokes when the car has been running prior and not on an over night cold start ( the last couple nights atleast ). Wondering what would be a good upgrade that is not break the bank. These were 1750 but on sale for 1000. Might be a bad product but just wanted some other opinions.
Forgot to add I do have a gearhead a/o tune w 3 bar map sensor, if that matters.
So I changed the plugs
And I swapped the coil pack to a different location and still got the same code in number 3
Not sure next step to narrow down what's wrong
I don't have a clue what this is supposed to look like, but I don't have enough to clamp onto here. Anyone know part names or easy-ish fixes for this situation?
2015 Taurus sho fully loaded.
Randomly does it. It’s becoming more and more consistent.
I have the 2019 non PP. I lowered it with H&R springs before finding out that it was not really compatible. It turned the car slowly into a stance car and ruined the tires. I had it aligned, they did the best they could. He suggested longer front upper control arms and camber bolts(front & rear, already purchased). Need suggestions on that! Also, they creak like crazy, unfortunately. Should I go back to the old suspension or do y’all have suggestions on a new one? Thanks 🙏
Just wondering if anyone is running e30
I have a 2010 taurus sho and ive recently learned about the gearhead tuner. Considering how amazing it is for the car ill admit im very behind on knowing about it
My car has 206k miles, and ive personally put 12k of those on (give or take). Ive given regular care to the oil changes and just replaced a bunch of suspension parts + a tranny flush
Wondering a few things tho:
Firstly, how important would doing a PTU flush myself be? I have the carfax reports from literally 13 years ago or more of all the oil changes and things done, the car has been cared for very regularly. But should i do the PTU flush myself just so i know its done, and should i do it BEFORE buying the tune or could i basically do both in tandem? Basically what are my risks
Im also wondering about my cooling system and rear diff, i need to flush the rear diff and the cooling system is a little old. Id like to do these both anyways but im just wondering if theyre needed for this. If so what kind of cooling upgrades do you guys know of/recommend? The cooling system is one that ive had the biggest trouble finding things about
I know that this tune doesnt need a Cai or any exhaust but would that also help it further/make it more better??
I have a big shopping list of stuff already for future projects, im mostly just theory crafting. I know its probably a large investment for something thats not just worth it but i think its fun and would give some extra flavor to an already sweet ride.
Thanks guys <3
