I also made some models of them with chameleon skinks and spare tau pieces but after drawing these sketches and finalizing the designs I will remake my models to be more like these since they look so nice.
Also the pink and dark grey Camo pattern is based on old Rogue trader era salamanders yellow and black paint scheme.
Also also, I picked this style for them, because (although they have very little to no lore) what striked me was the title "Deathsworn" like it didn't sound to me like they bring death, more so are sworn to it, also I picked dios de los muertos aesthetic because it's not shown and appreciate enough in stuff
Really loved the idea of the Tarellian Dog Soldiers for a long time, and the recent official model release of one of them inspired me to finally get round to making my own.
Largely based off aos seraphon, Going to use them in Necromunda as a Venators gang with the Kroxigor as the Ogryn leader, Skinks as the Ratlings, and still to do the Saurus+Votann parts for the Beastmen
Sorry for the trash pics. I’ve been building up my army, learning to paint, and painting them since October, and photography skills haven’t been on my to-do list as far as skills go, but I’ll figure that out after finishing the Farsight Cadre and T’au Combat Patrol. I’m probably not going back and adding to my finished dudes, but I welcome any advice going forward. Btw, I thought I hated painting infantry until the Kroot, but man are those models a blast to work with!
Also a comment from a mod who banned me from the regular Tau40k sub about protesting
