My wife surprised me for my 30th birthday with the set I had been saying I’ve wanted. Played one round with them so far and they are so pure. (I was playing ping blueprints before this) they feel every bit as pure as any premium iron I’ve ever hit. If you’re debating taking the plunge I think it would be worth it! 🍻

After the advice I got here, I’d pretty much decided on the original 201 rather than the new 201T. But now I’ve run into a new dilemma...
If I’m already going for the forged 201, would it make more sense to just go for the 301 CB instead?
The 301 CB has less offset, a thinner topline, and to me just looks a lot better at address. I know it’s less forgiving, but I’m 27, I’ve been in and out of golf for around 13 years, and I’m now planning to get properly back into it and actually improve.
So I guess my question is: realistically, how big is the forgiveness difference between the two? I know the 301 CB is less forgiving, but is it really that dramatic?
If anyone has hit or owned both, I’d really appreciate your thoughts.
