Maximum Stamina, Minimum Hearts in Tears of the Kingdom

After finishing Breath of the Wild ages ago, I finally started Tears of the Kingdom. The first things I did were get weather-resistant outfits, activate all the Skyview Towers, and maximize my stamina. I figured it would be best to max out stamina first and then focus on hearts (no glitches - only shrines). Now traveling from one place to another is super quick!

What you guys think, was it better than doing balanced unlocks like 2 stamina and one heart….?

Regarding the Sheikah and Zonai?

So I've been playing both Botw and Totk since they both launched. Botw on wii U, then switch. and Totk later on switch as well.

I can't for the life of me get why the Guardian tech just disappeared. we see glimpses of it in Totk but very minimal.

I understand the lore of the Zonai as well, but it feels redundant. get rid of all the ancient tech and make an even older race's tech spring up into the world just because the earth fractures? If anything I would have liked to see more Sheikah tech spring up from the depths, and skies. Or actual Sheikah people from the depths or skies, living in the flesh with that tech they have.

The answer we got from Nintendo was that the Sheikah tech served it's purpose in fighting calamity Ganon. They literally fought with Ganon, against the player?

The Sheikah Tech would have fit seamlessly into Totk. Reskin all Zonai Devices as Sheikah Devices and keep the runes from Botw, and give link a Sheikah Tech arm for unltrahand, fuse and what not.

To be completely honest the Zonai and Sheikah are so similar that if I just swapped all the colors from green to blue and orange, it would make zero difference to the story. The Battery would be colored blue instead of green and such.

what gets me is link doesn't have the slate anymore. However, when accessing the spyglass function in Totk it still is the Sheikah slate and the teleporting is still the Sheikah blue color going to a green shrine? I get the fact that I have a Sheikah slate in my inventory, but I can't use it's runes? crazy.

And the Yiga who opposed the Sheikah go so far as to have a Sheikah logo upside-down is now after Zonai Devices? that makes no sense.

in conclusion I'm just confused, the consistency for tech is off. old tech disappeared and even older tech is now more prevalent. the story of the dragons could still be intact as well just make the Sheikah worship the dragons. And their ancestors be the Zonai who built the Sheikah Tech. The descendent of the gods thing still works for Zonai but color them blue and orange. I Want answers and justice for the Sheikah!

Haven't played in 2 years

I unlocked ALL of The Depths and 100% of the shrines on the surface, as well as have most of the special armors and skills. I've unlocked access to all of the "dungeons", but I quit playing for so long I can't remember what the HELL I was doing/what is even going on in the story. My question to all other players, old and new: should I start over from the beginning, knowing I will have a ton of groundwork to recover and 200+ hours to traverse ro get back to where I currently am and bring my knowledge back up to speed, or should I try to pick up where I left off (I've tried this a dozen times but it is so overwhelming I usually lose interest/focus and lament how far I've come but can't remember what to do) and finish the story. I am relegated to either one, I've been on the fence for several months now but I feel starting over will give me the best chance at actually sticking with the game as opposed to having to traverse the entire map to see what I've done/what needs to be finished. And to add insult to injury, im pretty sure I am also in the middle of a dungeon so I would have to figure that out on top of everything else. Just looking for other opinions on the matter, I do this to myself all the time (Skyrim, fallout, BG3 etc lol) but as this one is a doozy I wanted to weigh in on what other players would do in my situation.

I have included pictures of my progress for a better frame of reference, and my total play time (I grind a lot) is 275 hours. This is a very lighthearted question, Im probably gonna start over but if anyone out there can give me hope/show me how to find my way back on track then that would be lovely. Otherwise, let's have a laugh at my conundrum

Where do you leave travel medallions?

I have 1 by great fairy. 1 by Terrytown dispenser that dispenses rockets, fans, steersticks. Where should I put last one?

BotW/TotK Follow Up with 12yo

I’ve been playing through BotW/TotK with my daughter, 12yo, she loves watching me do the main quests, we split the side quests, and she hunts and cooks - they’ve been a great shared activity 🥰

What are some other open world games we could explore suitable to her age? Switch 1 at this stage.

TIA!

Missing charged headdress

Hey!! I am hoping someone can help me with because just googling my problem hasn’t helped lol. I am replaying totk for the second time and I am on the secret of the ring ruins quest, getting the charged set. I was able to the shirt and the trousers just fine, but when I got to the third spot, the vines were already cut and the chest is missing. I don’t remember this happened before and I am lost. I thought maybe it was just a glitch or something, so I went back to my save point at the beginning of the quest, doing everything over but it’s still gone. I’m not sure if I’m missing something or maybe doing something wrong, but has anyone else had this happen?? And do you know how I can fix it. I can’t really further the main quests if I can’t get past this😅😅 Thanks in advance for any help!!

The shrine treasures are very often... not great.

Can't say how many times I've spent 5+ minutes trying to get to a chest up on a ledge, and after checking a walkthrough, found out it was something stupid like a Hasty elixir. Wtf. Waste of my time. And there's a lot that are like that, so now I'm checking walkthroughs before I bother with the hassle.

Very lame.
