So, if you guys are waiting for "the tea" on Dr. Withheld...hindi ko pa alam. Maraming conflicting reports and until we have more clear data from reliable resources...huwag na muna tayong mag-speculate. Ang dami na nating naiisip...baka may mali lang sa birth certificate niya.
I wanted to tell you guys why I took a break from reddit. The first and main reason is, n ainis ako. I got super annoyed with some posters in another thread. Then I started to feel that maybe people did not appreciate my presence in reddit. Baka mas gusto nila na anonymous tayong lahat tapos pwede tayong mag-bash na walang katuturan. Seriously, I'd rather crochet kung ganun na lang.
Last season (not this one, ha), may isang doctor na na-defer yung success. Very brave si NYD (Not yet doctor). He posted his grades in reddit and he was wondering why he did not pass. Nagulat ako, kasi parang sa post niya...he/she was blaming the review center he/she studied in. Note natin, aminado siya na nasa lower 25% siya ng batch niya and na-irreg siya. Aminado din siya na hindi niya sinundan yung mga advise and schedules ng RC niya. Pero wow, kasalanan pa rin daw ng RC niya. Yung RC pa rin niya yung nagkulang. Pasok naman ang isang commenter na tawagin natin GK (Gatong king). Ang hirit ni GK, "ito ba yung RC na sobrang toxic, na isang basahan lang at isang nood daw ng videos, pwede na?"
Pwede pa palampasin. hindi muna ako nag-react. Tapos biglang humirit na..."Oo, andito yung asawa niya. Hindi anonymous. Medyo palaban"
Ay, brother. Is that me? As far as I know, ako lang ang asawa ng RC owner na hindi anonymous. Wala namang Mrs. E at Mrs. C, di ba? So, ano iyun, kami ba ang may kasalanan na bumagsak sila kahit na aminado sila na hindi nila sinundan yung program?
Sinagot ko. Pero sabi ng family kong very calm and collected na huwag ko ng patulan. Honestly after that, ayoko na buksan ang reddit. Kasi feel ko noon, kahit maganda intentions mo, meron at meron pa rin mema. Kairita, di ba? Ang ganda ng intentions ng family namin. Sikap to death kami na pagandahin ang program and mag-accommodate lahat ng pwedeng mabigay. Pero kami pa rin mali? Paano nangyari iyun?
Huwag ganun. May hangganan din naman ang kaya namin. I remember my husband saying, "You know I really want all my students to pass. Kung pwede lang na ako mag-exam para sa kanila, I'd do it." Pero hindi pwede. we can lead a horse to the lake, but we cannot make them take a drink.
We can give you the best lecturers (and we do...aminin natin iyun), and give you the stricter and/or more lenient regimen. We can control your movement or be very lenient, pero when it comes down to it, if you do not follow the program, if you do not commit to studying and doing the best you can with full recognition of your strengths and weaknesses, the results are the same.
Walang magic bullet. walang short cut. THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A RELAXED SCHEDULE WHEN YOU ARE TAKING THE BOARDS. You have to study 12 subjects, 6 of which you did not read for at least 2 years with no specific topics. Basta 12 subjects in their entirety and you have to do it in 3 months. ANYONE WHO TELLS YOU THAT YOU CAN STILL RELAX IS LYING OR SELLING YOU A LIE.
Our program keeps trying to make such a big task manageable. That is as much as we promise you. Sabi ng aming surgery doctor, "I won't promise you it won't be hard. But I promise you it will be worth it."
HIndi madali maging doctor. Precious things are hard to earn. Your medical license is the most precious thin of your career, second is your reputation. Take care of both by behaving like well-bred people.
Sabi ng husband ko, balik na daw ako. Someone needs to answer the inquiries and the comments. Oo nga naman. Kung isa lang ang nagsasalita, baka sila lang ang paniwalaan niyo. Nakita ko rin marami na nag-pm. Fine, I'm back. But fair warning, I always try to be well-bred. I always try to be nice. But I do not always succeed. 👿
