Hi all,

I’m a full-time in-person PT (10 years), currently doing 100-120 sessions/month (mostly gen pop). I’m starting to build out an online coaching service and would love honest input from those who’ve already made the shift.

My background is in S&C and athletic performance (currently working toward my CSCS), and I also play and coach cricket at a high level. I play in my province’s top division and coach a club with 5 men’s teams, so the niche I’m moving toward is performance-based cricketers rather than general fitness.

Current structure:

Tier 1 - 1:1 Coaching
S&C and/or cricket coaching (programming, video analysis, performance work)

Tier 2 - Group / lower-touch

Tier 3 - Programs / courses
Pre-built training and skill-based products

Tech I’m considering:
- CoachRx (S&C)
- OnForm (video analysis)

I am unsure on which platform I should sell courses on. I know Trainheroic and Trainerize offer this but I have heard they aren't 'perfect' apps for my other needs.

Content: My Instagram is weak, but I'm still developing it with the intention to use my personal (2k followers), but my main driver is YouTube - I got 300k+ views last year (POV match content). Planning to use that as my main lead gen and start layering in more educational content.

What I’m trying to figure out:

  1. What systems actually mattered when you moved online? And what turned out to be a waste of time or money?
  2. What are the non-negotiables for delivering real value online for retention and a premium feel?
  3. How did you structure onboarding + assessments without overcomplicating it?
  4. What CRM and lead generation tool would be the best?
  5. For those doing hybrid coaching (physical + skill-based), how are you delivering it cleanly?

I’m trying to avoid overcomplicating things, but with so much to do, it's hard to figure out my 'priority list'.

If you have any recommendations, please let me know!

For context I am studying S&C, and am a distance runner turned Rugby League player. Because of this my fitness is far and away the best on the team hence the lack of conditioning. The team trainings are quite easy hence the extras being on those days too. I play centre or wing if that helps.

Hey guys, I'm a second year Exercise Science student in Australia, and I just got a placement at a National Rugby League club with their pathways program. My ultimate career goal is to be a rugby league S&C so this is an obvious step in the right direction. My question is what are the things I can do to be memorable and stick out as a person that might be hirable in the future? I really want to make it count as best I can. Any tips would be helpful, thanks!
