Someone broke into my stinger by drilling(?) through the keyhole. Estimated price of repairs?
Im attaching pictures of what I found this morning. Any idea what the repair price is for something like this?

Still had some room to spare (edit: 3.3 not 3.6 🤦🏽♂️)
on my commute to work rn and noticed this sound, not sure what it could be but sounds to me like its coming from the front right side, i just looked and saw the occ is loose where it mounts onto the wall but i doubt its that, sounds similar to hpfp noises but its more rattly and significantly louder. any ideas?

Anyone tried cherry tune for Stinger? They say they've tuned hundreds of them but i literally see nothing when I search but see lots of the other tuners.
See so here’s the thing, I got my 2022 gt2 around 10 month ago now and was aiming for 450-500 wheel.. since that is what I figured was the safe limit to be able to enjoy a load of power with everyday reliability… I’ve gotten a full catless exhaust primary and secondary with BMS jb4 their intercooler catchcan diff brace upgraded fuel adapters and their charge pipe kit. K&N intakes too.. then I took it to my tuner after throwing all these bolt ons to tune my JB4 custom 6 since I kept going on limp mode too.. when I took my car he told me my ecu was already flash tuned and that’s why my car felt quick I hit 400hp on first dyno run!! anyways my tuner had a hard time to make the custom 6 work perfectly with the old random ecu tune but he finally managed to make it work and I topped off at around 432hp on my last run (note the charge pipe kit and secondary catless DP was after I took it to the tuner)
So the car has been running very smoothly and she’s very quick, but the main issue right now is that i get into limp mode when im pushing the car more than usual I suspect the ecu is reading an overboost, I have to switch the car off and back on and boost is back, I also suspect that I’m not getting the FULL potential of all my supporting mods because of my random ECU tune, I was also thinking of going for a TCU whenever I finally tune my ECU since my gears are sometimes sluggish and jerky.
I’d love to know how beneficial the ECU and which brands I should go for, and if the TCU would be of any use with the numbers I’m hitting. Another issue I have is that I’m all the way in dubai and I have no clue how I could buy one of these tunes abroad without talking to the tuner since I lack the experience myself ..
It's time to replace the windshield on my GT2. Have to pay out of pocket. It's my understanding Kia likely needs to do the calibrations. What did y'all's process look like? Is Safelite reputable? Thanks.
Hey guys,
currently looking for cold air intakes for my stinger GT 3.3 2019.
Is there someone in Germany, who drives Aftermarket Intakes like Injen or K&N and can tell me if its possible, especially for the Injen intakes to get them registrated by the TÜV?
Thank you!
So I'm at 90k miles now on my Stinger, and have been running Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires ever since I replaced the original Pilot Sport 4 tires that came with the car. I have no complaints about the tires except that I have to replace the rear tires every 10-12k miles. The 4S tires come with a 30K mile warranty, but because of the staggered setup, the manufacturer halves the warranty because you can't rotate them front-to-back. Even then, I haven't been able to get that out of them. The front tires generally last about 20-25k miles.
I'm looking to get something a little harder with longer warranty. I'm in Southern California, so I'm not dealing with snow or bad weather. I'm pretty exclusively using it for freeway driving and don't ever really exceed 85 MPH. I do my share of freeway passing, but I'm not doing burnouts or taking it on the track or anything.
Does anyone have any recommendations for a quality tire that I won't have to replace as often?
The day I got my tires changed at discount tire I noticed some damage on the side skirt, I thought it would likely be from improper jacking but the damage seems to be too far inward, has anyone else expereiced this or know what could have caused it?
Engine bay cleaning may be a bit controversial in some circles but here is a little before and after of my engine bay. The steps I took are as follows:
Remove engine cover, cover intake filters(if aftermarket) with bags, and take the negative terminal off of battery. Keep your hatch open at this point.
Lightly spray engine bay with water using the shower setting. Then foam the hood and engine bay with car wash soap using a hand pump foamer. Let that sit for a minute or two and rinse down. Do not saturate the hood heat shield. Note: if you don’t have a hand pump sprayer, a regular spray bottle will suffice.
Next, spray a degreaser on the entire engine bay, spraying more on areas that are heavily soiled. My heavily soiled areas were the driver side turbo and the oil filter housing. Let the degreaser sit for 3-5 minutes depending on outside temperature. During this time, use a small detail brush to get the nooks and crannies. Rinse with the shower setting.
Lastly, dry your engine bay using a leaf blower. If you don’t have a leaf blower, you will need to resort to using a towel. Once it is dry, remove bags from the air filters and put the negative terminal back on to start the vehicle. Let the vehicle warm up to let the water evaporate especially if you don’t have access to a leave blower.
If you guys have any questions or tips in addition to this, drop them in the comments! I’ll put the products I used in the comments.
I took a road trip to get some photos on the Washington side of the Columbia Gorge, and had to get a few of my ride.
Hello everyone, I want to run something by you and see if anyone has dealt with this before.
In the last few months I have been getting a steering wheel shake the faster the car travels. It is sometimes pretty noticeable and at times barely happens. This seems to start at around 70KM/h and gets worse as you speed up. I also have my phone mounted on the dash and it starts shaking pretty bad.
At first I thought maybe the wheels were not balanced correctly when I had them put on, but this started happening while I had my winter wheels on as well. You also cannot drive out of the shake like an unbalanced wheel could do. It happens at all time.
I took the car back to my mechanic and had them check the wheels, they are balanced perfectly. Tires are good, about half life left on them and no issues otherwise. My mechanic even took the car on the highway and tried different speeds and it did it every time and he confirmed that this is not normal. The reason I did not have him look too far into it, is because I still have third party warranty on the car and I would rather just have Kia check it and fix it under warranty, whatever it could be.
Just from a visual check on the hoist, nothing seems to be wrong with the suspension, wheels, tires, etc. They did suggest that maybe the drivetrain could be causing it but again, did not dive deep into it.
Have any of you had something like this happen before? This car seems to just cause me issues back to back, every few months something goes wrong. I literally just had my oil housing cover replaced as it was cracked and leaking, and I just found out the rear main seal is leaking as well. Absolute lemon of a car.
